    @brahimakante4614, Macodou was playing a great game but it was not easy to convert the endgame under time pressure, as Anton kept resisting. In the end he managed to win with a nice trick. Unfortunately, Macodou lost the last two games to Ron Heusdens and Thomy Lucien Mbongo, which put him back to the thirteenth spot in the final rankings.

    Please how is the game over!?

  • @koosvanamerongen
    @koosvanamerongen Жыл бұрын

    After white's last move (18-13) black has to capture two pieces because of the majority rule (8x30), after which white takes both a piece and the king from black (25x43). In the remaining position, white is one piece ahead and wins easily. As such, black resigned (or, rather, by getting up white assumed black would resign, before he actually did).

    @@chideraachonu1925 White won because black resigned, and black resigned because he would indeed be one piece down with a losing position. Both players still had a bit of time (there was a 3 second increment per move), sufficient for black to convert the position into a win. If you like to play and learn the game, I recommend trying out lidraughts.org (free).

    Hello Tommy. I am told these specific boards have been made in Turkey. I do not know by whom and how you can get them. I do know the Royal Dutch Draughts Federation offers boards that are a bit more traditional (brown/white in stead of blue/grey) and aesthetically pleasing (there is no clear division in the middle). You can buy them here, for example: marktplaza.nl/opklapbaar-kndb-dambord-94135170?fbclid=IwAR2hDav2DCZFVMlFZjLo5vM-FbP3YxkMJDbZDYalbF6r6lPHH0qmb06SLcY .

    Indeed Douwe, white has a construction in place to catch a future king on 46, ending with 24x2 or 24x4. Boomstra played the strongest continuation. In fact, he played a very strong game overall, except for his last move, which gave it all away.

    At the end if black goes left white will move his queen to the corner ( just where white's pawn is going at 0:15 ) black will promote, white then offers his pawn by going to the diagonal where both queens are facing each other, black"s queen takes, white's queen takes back and also the remaining black pawn.
