@@rachelabiphoto That you need to *_redefine all marriage_* as only tradition is your problem. Human DNA combining to make having a *_normal family from a marriage_* a generational fact of life isn't a subjective tradition. Traditions are subjective and can obviously become normalized. *_Marriage and family_* are normal and aren't capable of becoming "normalized" because they're part of human life, bud.

Just because it's not a tradition for you doesn't mean that they're weird or strange. You are ignorant, and disrespectful of other Cultures.. Different Does NOT mean weird? But you as a white woman in the United States wouldn't know this? You probably have never been outside of the state you come from. Let alone any other country or continent.

If you’re trying to have a wedding, be an entire celebration, where you have dancing, and all of that, there’s no way to avoid a meal time without being extremely rude. A wedding is usually 30 min, average is still doing photos for an hour then you have all the traditions that take about 2 hours to get through. That’s 3.5 hours. And that’s a lot of rush to get through no actually just existing and being with your guests. And just in that you’d have a hard time avoiding meal time
