Brilliant name. Snap him up Roadrunner 🎉 beep beep... Joking aside, I think Kayode's a very exciting prospect, one who has earned his way on the international scene as a U19 Champ and a regular first teamer taking advantageif injuries, opportunities etc. The risks are likely less than others his age per his body of work so far and his work ethic. He is also well thought of in Italy with many there saying 15m is undervalued, likely worth closer to 30m... he wld absolutely thrive under Emery 👍 from me

Would obviously love to keep him long term as he seems like a great talent, but his attitude is all wrong. Even Mcginn hinted at it after the liverpool game

I personally really enjoy Duran's competitive edge (not the drama), how he isn't afraid to go toe to toe with Joe Gomez at Anfield 😅 and then score two fab goals at Villa Park. There aren't many fearless talented strikers like that, that make you sit foward a little when they come on or get the ball. BUT its important to keep in mind that we have been more patient with him than anyone else. He's had extra time with Emery and we've tried to see things his way etc. Leaving is his choice, Chelsea is his choice and I suspect Emery has said enough. If he wants to go, go. If he isn't going to be patient, or trust, take direction from his coach that this is a process of learning, evolving his game. Most importantly, we are 'now' at the point where he is disrespecting Emery, the coaches, the players and Aston Villa. IF he comes back it's with conditions...

@@Lioness_UTV Well for one I don't think anyone really knows what is going on behind the scenes. Has he been asking for more playing time? Probably. He's been on the bench for two years. That is really frustrating. Duran has been patient too and trusted the process. Then his name gets thrown around like he is acting up, but he is still out there scoring goals and showing love for Villa. If Emery says to him "hey, we might ship you" he might says he wants to play for Chelsea. No big deal. I personally think this attitude story is blown a bit out of proportion. Every team has guys that have big personalities. Lukaku didn't work with Chelsea and had a bad falling out. Looks like he did just fine for Roma and they embraced him. I don't want to be the team that missed on Duran.

Imagine Frimpong on the right and Maatsen on the left, Torres and Konsa CB's. Maybe Carlos or even Hermoso if he comes and play a 5. I would have liked to keep Luiz but actually out of him Kamara, McGinn, Ramsey and Tielemans, he's the one I'm least worried about losing. I rate Tielemans so highly. I think Luiz is great but a bit of a luxury. We need someone who will grab the game by the neck when the midfield is a bit passive as we were at times last year. I just worry we may look back and think we really didn't get a good deal. On the other hand it may end up looking like a heist 🤣

I don't know man. Barrenechea is awfully young and inexperienced to be starting for Villa, especially with all the games ahead. I think we have another signing coming for a more proven player at that position. Maybe Gallagher or someone like him. But Barrenechea is not Dougie's replacement. Barrenechea is going to need coaching first.

Barrenechea basically started in Serie A but his team was relegated. He might become a star, but right now we need a different signing. No one is laughing. This was a business transaction and we were lucky to get what we needed.

He could turn out to be decent but we don't need players that will be decent in 2 years, we need players who will be exceptional now. Honestly I can't believe the club would sanction this. I’m just confident the Villa 4 will get it right, what getting right looks like is yet to be seen, but to me it’s improvement in general, our run in the UCL is not the metric to use btw, I think the new implementations will need a season to bed in, just happens that’s a UCL season, I believe firmly that we’ll wimper out of this one whilst qualifying for Europa league 26/27 with a genuine UCL contending team in 27/28 UTV

Weston while obviously not Dougy, could step right in and do a job as a Squad player at least, who knows about this kid, seems like Juve should be needing to kick in more cash. Also selfishly as an American I was excited about having one on the squad. In the end I trust Monchi, Emery and the whole team, they are obviously much smarter on all this than me. The Maatsen deal seems like great business.

Kinda seems like both Digne and Moreno could go and we might sign another left-back along with Maatsen (who I'm VERY happy about). Sad to lose both because they've both been immense at times. Moreno is homesick and Digne has massive wages. If only one of them goes it's a loss and I'll mourn either way...but atleast one of them is a gonner for sure. Maatsen should be an upgrade on both.

Whatever magic Unai Emery can weave with these young players coming in l'm all over it. As for Dougy, he had passed his useby date back in February when his form really dipped and the outdoor was being negotiated by the club as a new contract was put in front of him and he rejected it, so Uve were in negotiations with Villa back in March and out the door he and chubby cheeks went😊 We dont need Western Mckenne anyway, if Villa was serious they would of had him by now. As for Duran, offload him for whatever, he doesn't want to be at Villa so move him on. Out of Dinge and Moreno, with Moreno's injury and frailty in defence .. move him on. With Dinge it's his wages that's the sticking point where the club is going to find it tough to offload him. One can see how Unai is planning for long term with bringing in younger players and mold them. Do need a genuine right back to come in and rip it up. This window is beginning to look very good indeed, very clever business by the club and l'm loving it. UTMV🦁👍
