im unattracted to anyone, and dont want to form any kind of platonic relationship it used to be mental illness to me in my late teens, cuz it caused what i felt are immense unpleasant feelings i hit my limit eventually, and began to imagine spending time with someone i love dearly still dont have the urge to be attracted to anyone or have any kind of platonic relations instead, im deluding myself, so i dont commit sewer side from this personal illness and pain and to be able to feel happy again so weird im weird

it started this year, im 17 i got body dysmorphia cuz of me, more specifically, i dont like the look of my face ive mostly been told that i look gud, never called ugly, but it doesnt change my opinion what saves me from sewer siding is that i have a lot of hope for my future

In the process the hostages saw the robbers behaving more rationally than police negotiators and therefore developed a deep distrust towards the latter. Enmark had criticized Bejerot specifically for endangering their lives by behaving aggressively and agitating the captors. She had criticized the police for pointing guns at the convicts while the hostages were in the line of fire and she had told news outlets that one of the captors tried to protect the hostages from being caught in the crossfire. She was also critical of prime minister Olof Palme, as she had negotiated with the captors for freedom, but the prime minister told her that she would have to content herself to die at her post rather than give in to the captors' demands. Ultimately, Enmark explained she was more afraid of the police whose attitude seemed to be a much larger, direct threat to her life than the robbers.

The psychiatrist who invented it, Nils Bejerot, never spoke to the woman he based it on; never bothered to ask her why she trusted her captors more than the authorities. More to the post, during the Sweish bank heist that inspired the syndrome, Bejerot was the psychiatrist leading the police response. He was the authority that Kristin Enmark - the first woman diagnosed with Stockholm syndrome - distrusted.

I have "exploding head syndrome" I know I have it but mine is very mild. Maybe once a week when I'm on the edge of falling asleep I'll have an auditory hallucination of a very very loud boom. It's extremely annoying.

i saw Anders Behring Breivik, and i instantly started shedding tears. i lost 3 of my best friends because of him. and one of my friends from where i grew up has still not recovered after barely surviving due to one of his friends he made on that island sacrificing themselves for him to survive.... and the whole thing about Inquisitor is so fucking messed up. seriously, they made a man kill himself. they should be in Jail.

I was surprised to see you mention VR as therapy. I've seen improvements to my social anxiety by simply playing VR social games such as VRChat and forcing myself to interact with others in this controlled environment where I can easily escape if something goes wrong. Building that initial confidence is much easier when I have the peace of mind of having a block button to immediately cease a negative interaction, and then I can move on eventually to the point of not needing that anymore and then being able to socialize in the real world more effectively.
