    You can add a desiccant. When using desiccants, you want to put the desiccant towards the bottom, the food on top, and then the last thing that you would do is add the oxygen absorber.

    People have got to get their head out of the gutter with all the propaganda the government spews to its citizens. She's claiming we need 60 lb of sugar per person per year. Gerber into all of the Asian countries who is cancerous and diabetes rates astronomically lower than Americans and ask them what their annual consumption of sugar is in pounds. Then people might to understand why are government and FDA among other corporate conglomerates have forced sugar into our diet so intensely over the past 30 years that as a culture we now crave any food with any kind of sugary content. Sugar can I have effects on the brain which bring a sense of delight AKA it is addictive in a subliminal fashion and our government has been doing it to US citizens for decades to wear now when we read statistics about American annual intakes of sugars and salts most everybody just Falls right in line like this should be par for course to consume 60 lb of sugar and then not wonder why American Diabetes is through the roof. We as a people need to stop listening to the people in charge of our health care amd food safety. all they care about is a Perpetual profiting system that keeps us wanting more because sugar quite literally can change your taste buds over time to where you only want or crave sweet sugary stuff. On top of all of the health related problems that they continue to profit on as we go seek medical attention. Sugar is also used as subliminal population control . It's no coincidence that many men and women die from diabetes or cancer right around their years in their 50s and 60s. The time of life where you start receiving different kinds of Social Security benefits among other financial aids and services. What easier way to control a section of the population that gets to the age where they start needing more stuff from the government on top of the things and money that the government owes them for 30 to 40 years of working and having taxes taken. Kind of ironic the death rates of certain illnesses just coincidentally coincide with retirement ages. So yeah long story short don't consume 60 lb of sugar just because our government FDA says this is what the average American consumes. Don't buy into that bullshit. Just worried about you and your family health and you'll be in much better hands than listening to any government statistics or advice. Sincerely, A Prepper, Gods child, a fundamentalist, and Constitutionalist AKA A real AMERICAN Residing in the "Old Dominon" Good ol' Virginia (THE REAL VIRGINIA) South of the Mason Dixon Line.

    The 10 mil is most likely only 5 mil. 7 mil thickness is the thickest film for home use. Just an FYI. Chinese sellers often list the bag thickness not the standard Film thickness.

    I sometimes choose to put desiccant packs in mylar bags I'm putting sugar and salt into. It's really unnecessary, but it gives me peace of mind they're extra protected against moisture. Only downside I've heard is that desiccant packs over many years can actually begin to release out the moisture they've absorbed and therefore into the salt/sugar. Not much of a downside for me because the packs are freshly opened and immediately within 120 seconds sealed into the mylar. Almost any moisture inside the packs would have been from the salt/sugar anyway. So the potential downside is you're no worse off from where you started. Risk/reward acceptable to me.

  • @pandemicprepsters5222
    @pandemicprepsters52226 ай бұрын

    Yes, you can add desiccants to sugar and salt. If people live in high humidity I often suggest that. I live in what is classified as the high desert so I don’t worry about that.
