  I’m guessing you used some sort of weird time signature for this. I also make music in weird time signatures and make polyrhythms. Something that always works it to make the rhythmic motif short. It may still sound weird in the beginning, when you first hear it, but you learn it more quickly. Ending the rhythmic motif a beat before the next part can also make it easier to “expect” when the next pattern begins - provided you do this for every or most of the patterns. Otherwise, nice song!

  Yo I'm unfamiliar a bit with music theory. Could you tell me what makes this 7? I can still tap in blocks on 4/4 but the melody is still moving, would it be that? Just a bit confused on how odd rhythms work on even. Also it sounds very pleasing with the melody. Thanks!

  It's like phrasing of the rhythm and where the downbeats land...Idk musical terms that well or whatever. Count it as a measure of 4/4 and then 3/4 and just repeat that, you'll start to hear the 7/4 phrasing

  7/4 eccentially means in every bar there are 7 quarter notes. What you're counting isn't 4/4, rather just the quarter notes. Like the other guy said you could count it as 4/4 + 3/4 which = 7/4. If you count it out to 7 (1234567) then repeat, you'll feel that it aligns with his beat.
