😂 Deep Purple is an old band, singer Ian Gillian originally joined in 1969. But no he wasn't on the original Deep Purple cover, that would be Rod Evans in 1968.

Pretty good, but it's kind of tame. I'd like to see a crazier one with Ruth Underwood on xylophone, Adrian Belew on guitar and Napolean Murphy Brock on vocals, along with a couple of plastic giraffes full of whipped cream and a giant Victor Mature in the background.
