  You can't see that big red channel marker....seen a ton of experts like you sink their boats on Erie..... don't come here you will sink it...but learn to read markers so you don't endanger urself and everyone else

  I bought this for my son not actually knowing what it was. I cut that tab off. You can unscrew and take off the left side of the reel and I loosened the screw that was holding the spool. It is almost like there is a rubber piece holding that spool. Since then it works great! It works like a standard one.

  The motor is OK. Install water separator. Water in gas, killing this motor. Have the same problem. I just clean hi-pressure fuel pump, and now run just fine.

  With mine, this isnt the problem, still not sure what is. It has too much drag, i even tried loosening it all the way until the weight fell on its own, same problem. I got it to go about 25-30 ft but thats as far as i can get it and its not accurate at all. Maybe i should give 'er the old take it apart and put it back together? Maybe add some lubricant?

  I have been using mine for over a year now. It's my favorite rod and reel combo. Read the instructions and set it up the way it said and boom, catching fish.

  Got this rod and had a bunch of problems with it having resistance the anti backlash sucks alwase pops up just used the thing off and Their is no brake and it’s rough and resistant when you cast and you have to use a heavy weight for it to work a bit better
