    We will have to try these ones now that we tried the wild planet sardines. I have not tasted any others that are better then wild planet.

    These are so freaking good. I have not seen them in Costco, but my wife said she seen them when we were there. I hope to get some more soon. The best sardines I have had in my entire life.

    Those big basic deenz come in lemon flavored olive oil. Its superior, by my taste, to those regular ones. Pickled jalapenos with the lemon olive oil packed deenz gets the job done. I stopped buying the big'nes all together. I had no idea "sardine" wasn't a species of fish but a small harring.

    Without cleansing your palate, you allow the previous ones to influence the flavor of the next one you try. King Oscar influenced the next, and so on. Not a good test, imho, but you know what you're looking for.

    ‘Remove’ the intestine guts before eating Sardines!

  • @randywatson341

    @@randywatson341 ~No absolutely not for Brunswick sardines with the head cut off, the guts are fully in intact there and sometimes lots of them with the eggs also and I do they take (remove) the guts out regularly.

    @@royjohnson465 Ugh that is so gross. I don't think I could eat sardines if I had to do the work of removing guts. I'll have to stick to my overpriced Nuri ones where I can clearly see the cut and hole where they were gutted.

  • @royjohnson465
    @royjohnson4654 ай бұрын

    @@randywatson341 ~I never heard of Nuri before so I looked them up, they are from Portugal. The Brunswick ones do come with guts in them but it’s not so bad I’m used to taking them out.

  • @randywatson341
    @randywatson3414 ай бұрын

    @@royjohnson465 Nuri's are amazing, I guarantee you will love them. Unfortunately they're usually about $6 a tin in the US. But you do get a little more food per tin (310 calories and 25g protein vs. the usual 200/20 or so) so I justify the expense that way. I'm constantly searching for premium brands that are a little cheaper. I can afford $3-4 a tin consistenty, and cheap brands are under $2 so I feel like there should be a plump, juicy brand with the guts removed for $3-4.

    I've eaten both brislings and regular sardines. The brislings are tender to the point of mushiness. To me, the texture is more fatty. I enjoy both, but prefer standard sardines which are much less pricy and have a more lean, meaty texture. I love them in Louisianna Hot Sauce.

    Hey. STOP it telling people outside of the NYC Flushing hidden Jewels of place to eat. Leave all the tourist over in Manhattan. I have stopped going over to Manhattan a long while ago. All my favorite locations to go eat are just not fun any more. Long wait lines to get a table, price have gone right through the roof $$$ I now find it's much easier to just stay in our own back yard when I don't want to cook. And pick any style of food location to eat at. Flushing is a big mix of some of the best family restaurants to eat at. There is even a very tiny Mom, and Dad food shop down in the Subway, I stop in there to pick up goodies on my way home from the main area of Flushing. So lets keep this Quit among us Queens Foodies. ✌👍
