    Hi Pierre, That bowl-coring tool looks a little shaky, but gets the job done! I would probably feel nervous standing near it, though. 🙂 Do you ever make a smaller bowl out of the center piece? Thanks for the video. Dan

    The boring tool is easy no problem. I do not do a smaller one because the small do not sell well. Thank you for your comment always appreciated

    It is like a horror movie to watch the boring inside of this relatively small bowl. Experience is the only thing I cannot get with watching enough I guess. I'll try once I got my balls out one day :)

    Hi Pierre, That's a nice little turning project. I had no idea how you were going to form the spoon, but then you mounted it sideways in the chuck, and it became clear. Nice trick.

    Outstanding. Approximately how long did it take to complete? And what was the blank’s moisture content?

    Thank you , it thake’s about one day, the moisture is provably around 25 , and I have a lot of white birch in my forest, that I use be cause it is more stable , I did some whit maple also

    I’m interested in trying this method of power carving. But am nervous about the the safety of using the angle grinder . I see the close up of the blades used. Looking for opinions on the potential hazards associated with the use of this style of blade?

    Nice work, Pierre! I assume the oven was to dry the wood. Do you find that only 4 minutes dries deep in the wood?

    No 4 min. Is not enough it gets the drying started after a day I put a coat of polymerized tung oil let it dry for 2 days a small sanding and 2 more coats and a carnoba wax for the last coat

    I usually use white birch or yellow birch because I have it in my forest, but I made some wit oak and maple , I think you can use the wood available to you.
