The woman with Daemon, is actually Aemma Arryn, King Viserys’ late wife. This is either a dream or some type of glamour by Alys Rivers, when Daemon first gets to Harrenhal. Also, the “Targaryen blonde” with the fan, in what appears to be a brothel. Is either a, uh, working girl or a flashback to Serra Targaryen, somehow. ? Possibly another glamour, by Alys Rivers. I don’t think it’s Jane Arryn though. Too young to be the Lady of the Vale, and the Targaryen blonde hair.

Androw is an interesting deconstruction of gender roles. Treated like a neglected wife but with loads of unearned entitlement that most men of the Time were raised with. Part of me sympathizes with him over his horrible treatment but he did absolutely nothing to earn rhaena’s respect or attention and lashed out over what he thought he was “owed”. It couldn’t have been easy being her beard but that’s not a reason to become a serial killer

I cackled thinking about Three-Fingered Hobb using Dark Sister. Like, dang, that frozen meat is tough tough if it needs Valyrian steel.
So in the future, it would have been Jaime, Brienne and the Hound leading a group of outlaws at the Riverlands.... that was a great plot, no wonder GRRM didnt give it up and preserved it
Actually this has been going on for quite awhile longer than episode 9. In episode 6 The Princess and the Queen when Alicent retires to her chambers to have dinner with Larys after Lionel's request to resign his role of Hand of the King, the first thing she does is take off her shoes. Now at that time when the episode first aired I don't think any of us thought of that as unusual. However once what happened in episode 9 occurred and I rewatched the entire 1st season again, it hit me that this has been going on for a long, long time. Alicent has been getting information from Larys and Larys has been getting his pleasure in that way. Imagine if either Viserys or Cole accidently walked in on them while this was happening. Both would have been executed. Larys does this because he knows Alicent is weak. He would never have been able to do it to Rhaenyra to control her. He needs a weak minded person that he can control. So while Alicent grips about Rhaenyra to Cole about how Rhaneyra flaunts her privilege and gets away with it, she is just as guilty for doing what she is doing. In fact she is no better because she is being unfaithful to her husband in allowing this to happen. Rhaneyra and Laenor have an arrangement because of Laenor's sexuality. Alicent comes off as this pius individual but she is truly a hippocrite for doing what she is doing and that makes me even dislike her more because of how she judges people. As the old saying goes "people in glass houses should not throw stones". Now Aemond who is a psychopath calls her a fool because of her once love for Rhaenyra because even though he killed Lucerys (and I don't believe it was an accident, I think Aemond was actually shocked it happened but happy as well) he wanted to go to war regardless to get those who he feels wronged him, ie Rhaenrya, Lucerys, Jacerys and Daemon. In fact I think he blames his father for not naming him heir instead of Aegon because he knows his brother is not suited to rule Westeros. He would potentially be another Maegor the Cruel I think if he ruled and I guess we will see some of that after Rooks Rest.
jaehaerys being behind it makes a lot of sense, especially given how he insulted rhaena at her funeral and his general disdain for women and probably homosexual women doubly so. Rogar also, perhaps them both together makes the most. androw can choke though what are yall doing sympathizing with him.. he was mad that his lesbian wife wouldnt let him rape her and impregnate her. incel shit

alicents outburst makes perfect sense honestly, its a culmination of all her repressed torments and the breakdown shes been actively avoiding for years. and its also exactly what rhaenyra wanted to incite, "thank you father" was a calculated move to further needle alicent. make her look insane in front of everyone.

If kings Landing gets devastated like it does in the show I could see king bran turning Harrenhal into the new capital. It's geographically central to Westeros and is right next to the isle of faces. Merge the crownlands and the Riverlands so the most vulnerable Provence is under direct protection of the king, plus it gives the king a huge number of directly sworn vassals/manpower. (Not that he'll likely need that manpower with the power of being basically the avatar of the old gods)

i watched the trailer quite a few times. I was like man i really hope someone is as obsessive as I am and breaks it down. In comes Joe Magician with the slam dunk... Speaking of dunk, Harry LLoyd did a great job reading "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" audio book. Since "Ice" is a ceremonial sword maybe he is wearing it because they are performing some kind of ceremony to bond their friendship.
