sorry didn’t see this 😭 definitely the neurobiological differences between introversion and extroversion 😃
posting on your birthday??? such a professional youtuber 😍😍😍
birthdays are a great time to reflect on the incredible journey of life and, in this case, delve into the fascinating world of neuroscience! 😄

Thank you for watching!
Sorry for the length! Overall great video and great oration. A lot of people don’t know much about medical conditions, besides the names. Hope you keep making these and thrive in your future field!
Found your video when scrolling on neighbors! I found out I had epilepsy my senior year of college. One thing I would appreciate you adding/explaining is what to do when someone has a seizure. Many people say “oh I know what to do, I need to stick something in your mouth when you drop so you don’t swallow your tongue” this is ironically, the absolute thing you could do-as it can break a jaw cause choking. You also cannot swallow your tongue. Best thing to do is try to make the area safe, don’t try to move/touch the person, except if they have bit their tongue and could aspirate on blood-then turn to side. Additionally, memory loss (temporary) or otherwise can occur Ex. I didn’t know my birthday. Seizures are also strange because the person having them, if unconscious, doesn’t experience them. It’s literally like you just wake up in the floor wondering why people are looking at you weird. So give the person a few minutes to get it together. My first seizure I slowed down my brain waves for a couple months. They didn’t tell me till after they normalized, as they didn’t want to add an additional concern that may heal itself regardless. Additionally, interesting things: important to note that epilepsy can be extremely tricky to find. After my grand mal, I went to hospital and then followed up with neuro. First neuro had me do in office eeg (30min) and then a take home 5 day eeg. Both tests showed no abnormalities. For some reason he was extremely distrusting and referred to an inpatient testing center. Saint barnabas had me for 5 days-I was sure they’d find nothing. I mean I was fine, had been fine, felt like a waste of time. Of course it took marching up video of me on the 24/7 surveillance and matching it to my brain waves to find the seizures. I didn’t believe them and so that dr had to pull up my video and eeg waves to convince me. They did a seizures of “stress tests”-so strobe lights various frequencies at different times a day, sleep deprivation (48 hours no sleep), etc. mine were sleep deprivation/electrolyte imbalance induced. So then it got weirder? I expected an up front packaged cure and solid explanation. This was not it. Verbatim she said “yeah, we don’t know why seizures happen (root cause not the induction), we don’t know why the meds work, we don’t know which meds will work for a specific person, etc. obviously like your video, we know that when the chemically gated channels revive pulses and influxes above the threshold it triggers seizures throughout (sodium/calcium, if you haven’t checked it out, the chemical relationship and generation of nerve action is very cool). So there is a flaw in this regulation for some reason. Very weird experience, still learn new things about epilepsy all the time. I have two types partial myoclonic and clonic tonic. Mostly nocturnal, but when overwhelmed they are daytime. I’ve had interesting moments, like while sleeping on a plane, I had a jerk and threw my phone down the aisle because my arm struck out and fist spasmed. Last bizzare things: seizure auras. Some people smell something or have other triggers. For me, it’s this Erie feeling like something awful will happen? The feeling will start morning of a seizure, and it’s so disgustingly off. Best I can relate it to, is the feeling everyone around you will die? But it doesn’t have a source. It’s a terrible dark, foreshadowing and every time they feeling comes I know what’s happening that day. These cues differ person to person. Other note: it’s fairly common to have a seizure during your lifetime. It’s uncommon to have epilepsy.
Wow, thank you so much for your comment! This is really amazing information and I'll be sure to add it to my website!
