AMAZING BABIES FLAWLESS PERFECT NO NOTES
I'm interested in learning tapestry weaving. How many hours is the 'weaving tapestry on little looms' course, please?
The course is quite comprehensive. I don't know how many hours it would take you to do the course. On quick count it looks like there are 38 videos in the course. Some you won't need to watch, some you might watch more than once. The courses are available as long as you want and are a great reference.
Good lesson!

Por favor, subtítulos en español. Saludos desde Bogotá. Gracias!

So pretty! I’m taking your online class now. It is nice to watch this again with some of the knowledge I’ve gained. I still think what you do is magic, but I’m getting better at understanding it. Thanks for sharing. ❤
I enjoyed watching this, Rebecca. I'm very satisfied with your responses to my submissions, and I appreciate the time you take to point things out that I could use improvement on. I'm working on my Final Project for the Warp and Weft Part Two Course and am looking forward to beginning Part Three in the near future.
Hi Rebecca, you are an amazing teacher... and business woman!! It saddens me that people have been impatient with you... I have found your teaching and response to my questions and requests for guidance in weaving so helpful. Thank you!
I am amazed by small business owners, especially creative ones - to be able to spin all of those plates whilst remaining creatively productive is an admirable skill! Thank you for all of your hard work. I hope to one day be able to take one of your courses, but in the meantime I am very grateful for Change the Shed and your beautiful book.
Thank you! Great tutorial 😊
Thanks for the puppy visits. They're quickly becoming part of Change the Shed. 😊 I left a note on FB and also emailed that I'm interested in your friend's tapestry books. (I forgot you were traveling this week.) I look forward to hearing from you when you get home.
Sorry to hear people are impatient. You’re fantastically responsive.
HA! I looked at that first piece and thought, That's looks like mushroom gills!"
Thanks for putting this out here while you are away in the northeast! I will see you in VT in two days! Can't wait to see your next large format piece this year.
Rebecca. I have a question. You mention that the Summer of Tapestry pieces tend to be about simplification. This piece about the Adobe doors appears to be a visual simplification yet the execution seems to be relatively complex with the color blending, use of crapo, etc? Is this more complex that most of the Summer of Tapestry pieces? Just curious.
Hi Carol, there are no rules. This practice is mine and some of my pieces are more complicated than others. In the Summer of Tapestry class I encourage people to keep things simpler because in my experience, people tend to try to weave far beyond their abilities in small spaces and then they get frustrated. My examples are mine and are at my ability level, but other people will weave far simpler things... and a LOT of my examples in the class over the years have been dead simple. Sometimes stripes or single colors. Every weaver has to make their own way.
Buen día. La saludo desde Bogotá. Por favor, qué clase de lápiz utiliza para señalar el dibujo que luego tejerá? Muchas gracias!
I use a Sharpie permanent marker on the warp.
Thank you, so much!
Wondering if I need a mirrix loom for Summer of Weaving class? I’m thinking of buying a sketchloom and adapting it for fringeless technique? Thoughts about that?
Oh definitely not. A lot of people use Mirrix looms but I never require any specific loom in any class. Sketchlooms are great for Summer of Tapestry. I don't think thehy'll work for Fringeless--they're not sturdy enough and peg looms just aren't great for this technique. A pipe loom you make yourself is excellent and we teach you how to make several different kinds in that class (Fringeless). Any tapestry loom is fine for Summer of Tapestry.
not related to this CTS, but thank you for mentioning Tierra Wools on your blog. I'm taking their rug weaving and natural dying classes in September!
Definitely! What a great place that is!
Thank you for this lovely video, Rebecca. Just what’s needed while I’m curled up under a lap quilt with Covid 🙂
Oh dear. Heal quickly and hopefully you feel good enough for some weaving!
TSA allows scissors 4” or less in length.
i used to own The Weaving & Knitting Shop in Boulder, CO. Now retiring and returning to weaving after many years. Due to muscular dystrophy I am also retiring my floor looms and turning to tapestry. Thanks for all your teachings - books and vlogs!
I'm getting ready for a trip to Scotland in a couple of weeks so very much appreciate the inspo for travel looms/ weaving! Will be my first time weaving outside of my home...
new earrings!
Hello. I'm considering a small tapestry loom. I've looked at the Saffron, mainly because of tension control for the warp threads. This Hokett is very appealing, as well. I'm thinking that since a small tapestry won't be on the loom for very long, maybe I don't have to worry about losing tension so much. What's your opinion?
Hokett looms are no longer available, but lots of people make similar ones. Lost Pond makes a sweet little sturdy loom called the Minnow that I like. Peg looms work fine with smaller pieces but I always recommend you use cotton seine twine warp. The stuff made by Bockens is great. I talk about all of this in my online classes. Intro to Tapestry weaving is a good start. rebeccamezoff.com/introduction-to-tapestry-weaving
I also have lots of blog posts about looms. Look under the looms category. I reviewed the Saffron and the Chloe looms there as well.
@@RebeccaMezoffTapestry Thanks, so much. I subscribe to your blog and one day hope to take one of your classes.
@@francesrobinson1335 Of course! Happy weaving!
Por favor, subtítulos en ESPAÑOL!😔

These are automatic captions and may not be perfect, but they should be pretty good.
Thank you. This is helpful 😊
🙏🏽for your teaching and these lovely bite size clips!
Por favor, subtítulos en español! Es aburrido todo el tiempo escuchar inglés. Menos bla, bla, bla porque se hace tedioso el tutorial. Se minimiza si se subtitula en español!😔
KZread will automatically give you subtitles in Spanish. Just google how to do that. It is in settings for each video. I don't know if it works live.
Texas did see eclipse in San Antonio area.
When does the wedge weave start?
This class opened April 15. You can find more information on my website and register through Gist yarn. Links are all here. rebeccamezoff.com/discoverybox
I want to learn how you did the open warp area

Thanks for the teaser on the next Discovery Box. Can't wait to play with wedge weave!!! Love the open warps on this. Adds a nice Topo feature.
Happy 4 year anniversary! Its also coming up to 4 years since I started my tapestry journey.
Happy Weaving, four years on!! 🙂
Distracted for awhile but back to learn! ❤
Welcome back! Have fun with the weaving.
A late hello from Northumberland UK
lol. My mom said, “That Mavis Beacon is very attractive.” And I had to explain that she was a model and that Mavis was just made up. This was back in the 80s when I was learning typing.
Ha Ha!! I am pretty sure the typing class I took at home on my electric typewriter FOR FUN was Mavis Beacon. I played the records on my little plastic record player and I did become a pretty good touch typer! I also tested out of typing in high school so saved myself a semester of that.
Hi Rebecca, WEBS carries the Einband Lopi lace weight yarn!

Glad to catch this live!
Just an advertisement for her book.
Of COURSE this is an advertisement for my book. I'm an author and have to make a living and selling the book is how you do that. It is a great book! If you want to learn tapestry weaving, this is one of the books that should be on your shelf. I have hundreds of KZread videos here that are educational that you're welcome to watch to learn more for free.
Love the book “ The Lost Flock” Where do I find out the difference between ecccentric & regular tapestry weaving?
My current Tapestry Discovery Box course is all about that! rebeccamezoff.com/discoverybox
