  Chris Crafts and Hatteras are so well made, they will last years and make the best live a boards. Just run them trawler style to keep down the cost of maintenance.

  Very nice! I'm curious if anyone could give me a ballpark figure of what a boat such as this may sale for today, in good condition. Just a ballpark, I know there is a lot of variables, but just a roundabout number. Please and thank you 😁

  My family had a 48 foot Hatteras yacht when I was a kid. Ours was so much nicer than this tiny little dingy. As I got older, money has flowed like water and I have a 73 meter yacht . I bought my families 48 ft. yacht and I use it as a dingy to play on.

  That is a sea chest. Many Arthur DeFever designed boats had these though usually they aren't seen on boats down in this size range. It is a central location for thru hull fittings. It's open on the bottom to allow water to come up inside for intakes. There is a metal grate across the bottom.

  Absolutely magnificent example of craftsmanship, style and comfort. These classics, like the Trojans of equal size are simply the best on the water living boats, America has ever seen. They create an on-board atmosphere that will wash away the stresses and difficulties of anyone who step aboard.

  I worked for Chris Craft during this manufacture date. I was responsible for the v-berth section and it was a nightmare with all the heat in the plant during the summer. It was a constant pain when they would cut the hatch because all that fiberglass would sprinkle into the back of my shirt and OMG!!!!
