How do you know which pronounciation is used? 人 even had a third pronounciation at the end
@kazin6415Ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment!! Thats a very good question. When a kanji is connected to another kanji and that makes a word ::: おんよみis used. On the other hand , when kanji is not attached to other kanji , くんよみ is used.

How " to enter " is related to "take bath" ??? 😢
@kazin6415Ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment!! Thats a good question. In Japan, typically to take a bath means to enter into bath tubs(Ofuro) . Ofuro おふろ means bath tub. Many Japanese people usually enter into bath tubs everyday. So おふろに入るmeans:: To take bath (to enter into bath tub)

Ive seen stuff about it online, but は being pronounced like わ really confuses me
@kazin6415Ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment! I also had the same confusion while learning Japanese. Here is a simple idea that might help you: は when used before any word is read as "Ha" But when used between other words it is read as "Wa わ" Ex: わたしはイギリス人です。 its read as "Wa わ" Ex:はしる 。 Its read as ”Ha"

I also know that 本(hon) also means the root of something, since 本 represents the Kanji for 木("ki", tree) except there's an extra stroke which emphasizes the roots.

What's interesting is that 上("ue", up) was originally a small line over a big one, but it was changed to avoid confusion with 二("ni", 2). 下("shita", down) is similar, but the small line is below the big line, instead.

Interesting video. I know another example of multiplication of Kanji for a different word, like this is 女("onna", woman) and here's the Kanji that represents 3 women called 姦("midara", adultery). Also, 林("hayashi") in English is "grove".
