  Did I miss the cylinder hone and new rings? Also main and rod bearing inserts? New seals? Was there a valve grind? Please tell me they didn't reuse the head gasket! I didn't see gaskets on either the intake manifold or exhaust. Perhaps I am not very observant. Painting in the rain seems rather odd.

  Running the engine without coolant at least in the engine block for any period of time would super heat the cylinders. I didn't see even a water hose going into the inlet. I don't know how he got away with it.
