Love this idea. Trouble for me is that we purchased the sofas and cannot get matching fabric. I am going to try to colour match some plain fabric as near as possible.

@@alisonscottupholstery7832 it looks gorgeous 🤗. Also I found your channel looking for a box cushion tutorial. I’ve looked and tried many many others. My mind just doesn’t work that way! Yours is hands down the one that makes the most sense to me. I made one along watching your video yesterday!! It didn’t turn out quite right but my machine was acting up. I’m going to try again w a different machine. Not to be dramatic but your video is life changing to me. I love doing upholstery but have never been able to get those darn cushions !! I’ve tried so many times. Not to knock my own country (!!) but what really helped was using cm. I’m more familiar than most Americans bc I worked as an ICU therapist for years. Just not something we use here. Sorry for the long reply just wanted you to know how much you helped me. ❤️

People may not use macassar, but plenty of people still regularly use other hair oils and butters. My whole family does and there's an entire side of YT devoted to hair care videos made by others who do too. So for those of us looking to protect our sofas and not leave _soul glow_ stains, I guess antimacassars it is!

I cannot find the Fire Label on my 3 seater sofa! Is it common practice for the label to be 'inside' the bottom of the sofa frame, ie, remove the base covering to locate it? I wanted a Charity Shop to take my sofa away but they say they will not if it doesn't have a label. What can I do, please?

This is such a brilliant tutorial, I wanted to make a cover for a bench seat cushion. I've never sewn before, and my sewing machine has remained unused for years, until now, I understood everything you went through, and I have achieved a really nicely finished cover, very proud of my first project, thank you so much for this video.
