Jessy Does Travel

Hi, I’m Jessy! I’m a lover of all things travel, lifestyle, and culture, and a pan-Africanist at heart. Join me as I float between Ghana and the USA (the two places I’m based), and throughout the pan-African world. I look forward to sharing some of the best that the pan-African world has to offer with you 😘

Also, my December to Ghana is now live! Hold your spot and place your $300 deposit and find out all the details by clicking the link in the bio "December Trip"!

Lastly, I’m planning a trip to another sub-Saharan country and would love your help in planning it. Vote on where we should go and what we should do using my survey link below!

Thanks for watching, see you soon!
xJess

    Hi, could you elaborate what you mean by too slow? I really like the idea of a relaxed lifestyle 😮‍💨😌

  • @JessyDoesTravel
    @JessyDoesTravelАй бұрын

    Sure Yazdan, so sometimes things that would typically take less time in the USA, lets say for example getting your driver's license, which might take an hour or so at the DMV could be a whole day affair in Ghana, even getting more simpler things done, tend to take more time. That being said this is a normal behavior seen in polychronic cultures (in a very generalized sense, think African/ Arab/ Latin American cultures).

    I am moving to Ghana in September and want to know how much the cost to ship a car to Ghana?

  • @JessyDoesTravel
    @JessyDoesTravelАй бұрын

    O so sorry I haven’t been through that process but I heard something like you’ll have to pay the shipping cost with an American company then the duty or tax cost at the port which varies depending upon what kind of car / engine size you have

    Accra can be very very expensive. If you are coming in for a vacation in Accra, then no problem. But if you are coming from the diaspora and you want to live in Accra then I don’t recommend it. Accra will eat all of your monetary funds if you don’t budget well. If you are rich and you want to show off your richness then Accra is for you. But if you are someone who manages his or her money and lives on a budget then I recommend live far away from Accra or atleast on the outskirts of Accra. You might not get all the comfort and amnesties that is in Accra, but atleast you will keep some money in your pocket. If you are person who wants to live off grid with your own solar power and your own water supply, then living outside the Accra is best for you.

    This lace front are literally destroying black women hairlines, so I don’t know why this hairstyle is still being pushed to and by black women. I know a black woman who has been wearing lace fronts for years and now her hairline literally starts at the top of her head. She has destroyed her natural hair because of all the years she has been wearing lace fronts just to look like a white woman. She can’t go out in public without putting on a wig. It’s black women’s hair, so they can do whatever they want with it.
