I have been using VG for many years. I am a professional artist. My papers of choice are Arche's and Kilimanjaro. I have tried so many of the paints on the market, both professional and students grades. I always come back to my VG. It is a great paint and has never let me down.

Hi, lovely. What type of paper does Julio Puentes uses? His charcoal is perfect for the paper he uses.

This is really good but also... I've been struggling with the lightsaber as it emits light... a lot of light... treating it as a light source has been challenging. For instance that saber here would illuminate the whole right side of her face... inside her nose... it's tough to portray with color let alone without...

Michelangelo was NOT a homosexual...Thomasa was a model for many of his studies Michaelangelo loved his beauty and devoted personality but never had a physical relationship with it.. One author who researched Michelangelo found his poems which spoke of Thomasos beauty and his "love" for him and unjustifiable claimed to the world that Michelangelo was homosexual..No...he was not. Homosexuality was a mortal sin in the eyes of the church which would condemn anyone who participated in it to hell if you look at Michelangelo's in-depth loving relationship to his belief in God his art works are the works of a man who wants desperately to go to heaven and would never jeopardize that outcome.. His love of God is his most devoted existance

You are so charming ) I am a big fan of Clairefontaine myself, and even though I always tempted to give some other paper a chance (and always regret afterwards), no one was ever able to beat it ) Worth every penny! I tried sennelier pastel card and it's also a great quality, but just not my material. As well as any type of velour paper. Thanks for the video and best wishes from Ukraine.

I haven't been able to finish my artworks for a long time because I get really frustrated not being able to meet my expectations. It's hard dealing with the feeling of having an idea and the next day having another one and getting stuck in a cycle... I really start to realize that my professionalism has reached a ridiculous point by wanting to reach a certain level so much... Thank you for your words, they made me reflect and I hope to break out of this cycle. It's frustrating not being able to finish a painting for 2 years...

Paper is important, though I highly recommend using a "Fixative" between layers, and when your artwork is complete. Also, I understand Canson specifies there are two different textures on either side of their Mi Teintes paper, intended as Artists' choice. One is heavy texture, the other side much smoother. About "Fixatives" for your readers: You can save your progress without worry, plus your artwork is predictable when adding layers. I am happy to say my "fixed" charcoal, graphite, dry, and oil pastels stay cleaner. Fixative doesn't change texture or colors, it just freezes your artwork in place but allows further work on layers. To be clear, you can no longer erase work that has been "fixed", the problem of smudging your work accidentally is resolved when fixed and you can make changes over top of fixed surfaces. Some extra heavy layers may be disturbed with over-handling, but you can prevent previous layers from bleeding through, because the fixative eliminates unwanted layer blending. Your fixed art remains intact awaiting further work in layers or areas. Note: I like to spray a light "fix" layer whenever I set my work aside. I know some artists prefer to use a fixative only when they are finished, which is another choice. A final "fix" is a good choice to maintain integrity before you prepare artwork for framing or mounting. It's not a final coat or varnish if you want that kind of finish. My drawing fixative recommendations are matte finish. I believe gloss is for final finishing. I prefer Krylon Spray Fixative, purchased at Lowe's for about $9-12 (generally less expensive and works as well as other drawing fixative brands) ...I don't use Krylon Gallery Premium which is more than double the cost. Other brand general price findings: Sennelier has a variety of Specialized Spray Fixatives $25-40 (Sennelier is certainly a reliable brand, and popular) Lascaux Fixative Aerosol Spray $42; UV-1 Protect $46-50; UV-2 $60 (I assume this is a professional brand or otherwise distinctive?) Spectrafix Spray Fixative $16 Also in a pump spray, likely a final fixative. (An ecological formula, milk protein and grain alcohol?) Grumbacher Workable Fixative $15 (well-known brand, comparable cost) Windsor and Newton Fixative $15 (well-known brand, comparable cost) And a last bit of wisdom, cheap hairspray will help chalk and Charcoal stay adhered to paper and lessen smudging. I wouldn't recommend it as archival quality for your art, but it could be great for working on studies.
