Lack of pipe work as pre description, might be why the media is at the bottom.

Yes, what you see or can't see is Tempest to ASHP then through Eazypod , just remember inlet and outlet are on the same side. It has served me well but bear in mind I have also had problem's with it, all been resolved by EA so I give them the due.

Will do, believe there's 6-8 week lead time on the drum and the builder being busy, everyone must want Koi ponds :-))

You're right Lau can't wait, it will be fiberglass. Bit nervous of them in a Koi vat that time of year though.

@@EXSKIN I am sure they will be fine. Make sure you put in the vat your existing pond water. And a net on the top. After that, just new water in the new pond. It will be heated so they will be fine. Don't worry, just keep being excited about the new pond. 😁

@@LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection Seems to be working well, although watching your vid on it umm. Do it twice when I clean it but does keep the eazypod very clean, Thought I was battling high Ammonia with reading's of 0.44 0.39 on a Hanna tester. Turns out the reagents(I believe Through Martin Hoyt) had gone off did test with old and new reagents old 0.39, new 0.04 so that's something to note.

@@EXSKIN hi, the tempest works well. The media just got clogged up with the mediclay. There is a lack of agitation in my view, but I have now put the air pump on it when I do a clean. Works fabulously well. Take care

I think you could do with putting a bit more flow through it, it has an ideal flow rate, can you manage it.

Thx Martin, have been thinking about this for a week now ideal flow rate is 5000lph the pump is 5000lph (max 7500lph I believe through tempest) as you can see it runs a long way before it reaches the tempest. have a spare 8000lph pump would that be too much? or with head loss be about right. was considering a 6500lph pump but as said have a 8000lph spare without splashing more cash.

Flow is lost through lots of tight bends and the height above the water surface . I think the the larger pump will be fine, look at some other tempest clips the flow is much greater than yours. Hope this helps .

Love your pond. Can I please ask, I am going to be pump fed too, with a retro fit bottom drain, have you got your pumps inside or outside the pond? The clarity of the water is superb!

Looking good. Really nice pond. 'Simple' ponds as you called it are often the prettiest in my opinion. Love it. Just subbed to your channel. I am building mine at the moment (I have uploaded a few videos), and now need to build the pergola. So it will be similar to yours.

@@storm6352 For just under a grand on a 1,000 gallon pond yes, that was my budget the Manual is rubbish but Simon at the company is very good I.e it doesn't tell you how to set it to auto. During the week of cold weather last week it struggled to hold 15c and lost a degree a day, by then I decide to cover the pond and a few tweaks on defrost cycle times after speaking to Simon( there off now) it held temps. So go bigger if you can but for me it was price point, 9 out of 10 from me.

@@EXSKIN thinking of getting a p6for 1100 gallon pond, inverter version just abit out of my budget, how loud do you find them, Simon was explaining the noise is subjective to the direction of the fan and obviously they run at one speed, also was the defrost cycle kicking in too often causing temp drops?
