Some people are over sensitive about anime association, and I'm not a big fan of anime songs but some Band-Maid anime songs are great music. I can't get this song out of my head. I think the song you are thinking about is 'neraiuchi' by Linda Yamamoto. They also used Japanese traditional instrument in this song. It's a backing track for sure but is very interesting to be used in such a chaotic song.

The vast majority of the Band-Maid fandom (Maidiacs or Carrier Pigeons) are very positive. Many of us feel that any negativity may reflect badly on the Ladies, so we keep ourselves in check, so as to reflect well upon them.

There are unfortunately a few younger fans who while they enjoy the Ladies music, their over enthusiasm is something we try to keep in check or ignore as the situation needs. Most of them quickly learn to go with the flow, although there are 3 in particular who may have left in a huff.

Kobato Miku's lyrical ingenuity! She's able to write lyrics in Nihongo and at the same time in English which, more often than not, rhymes or makes sense. Kobato-san is the band founder, rhythm guitarist and main lyricist.

A lot of punk, rock, hardcore, funk, jazz fusion and even rap at times wrapped up in Band Maid's influences and music. Someone posted a link on Reddit to someone who did their thesis on the use of both Japanese and English in song and poetry. It's evidently more than just a small thing.

Band Maid's secret super power is to remind you of bands you grew up listening to (at least people of our age brackets). They aren't copying them, but they remind you enough of them that the nostalgia kicks in and just floods your brain with happy. Then they do so many cool and interesting things within the song that when you listen to it over and over again you always find new awesome little twists and details they've included that you just didn't pick up the first time, so you're rewarded as a fan to just listen to them over and over again.

This is song will be including in the new album projected to be released in late summer, late August or September, timeframe. Japanese and many Asian bands commonly mixes English and their native languages in the lyrics, but BAND-MAID is really good at mixing them flawlessly and having longer sentences in English than other bands. Also, the sound BAND-MAID has, is more western rock sounding than other bands, which seems to make them into western markets easily than other Japan domestic only bands.

"Protect You" is another commissioned anime score. The anime "Grendizer U" is actually popular in France. I guess why there are so many "Ou lala, lalas" or it may be Maid -Speak for "We're gonna kick your ass!" This faced-paced, high energy, hard-driven song is more along the lines of what most Band-Maid fans love about the group. They put so many musical elements in their songs that it usually takes several listens to break it all down. All I know is these petite young Japanese women are incredibly talented and versatile.

Good reaction. How many times I hear: “I wasn’t expecting that” been listening to the group for about 5 years. They constantly improve. Very generous to fans. Definitely a live group. Saw them twice in Houston and NYC. They duplicate their sound onstage. Virtuoso players. I like the live videos. Many have close captions. The lyrics of this one are particularly vicious put down of an unfaithful person. Don’t You Tell features another bass / guitar feature. The guitarist channeling Carlos Santana for a bit on that one in my opinion. Lots of little often overlooked things musicians may pick up on like the wonderful transition at the end of the drum solo in Freedom back to the full group. Freedom is also a painful break up song but the girls are laughing so many interpret it to be happy. An older number Onset, an instrumental in the set list to give the lead singer a break is a nice example of the skill level of these fine musicians.

And I am sure that Anthony Barone would be concidered to be two drummers, but in fact they have two guitars, one bass and one drum. They only gad so many people since they had two independent Babds. The old Kami Band for Japan and South East Asia and the Kami Band West for yeurope and the USA. But since they are the new Babymetal they are only joined by the Kami Band West. This went so far, that one of their American Guitarists now lives in Tokyo.

No, they have nothing to do with anime with the exception that Kobametal found Suzuka, when the three head girl group for the anime Karen Girls was dosolved. And the inhetitance is the other way. Most of the female voice actors of Anime were idols or wanted to become idols. And what they sang in their concerts, were idol songs. That was exactly the lesson that Koba teached to Babymetal, your music already contains metal, so there is no reason to be afraid of metal.Nearly all Anime theme songs are sung by idols. Koba knew what he was talking about he had written many of the Songs that they had performed in Sakura Gakuin and he was able to show to them, which basic rythm he followed. It is crazy but electric guitars are often used in Enki Spngs and they are often recognized as old and traditionell. Modern instruments were very fast absorbed into japanese music traditions. And added new elements to them. And Koba simply followed with Babymetal one concept. The japanese metal msrketvwas at his time extremly stale and consusted of purely male groups and audiences and he wanted to remodel it. And he was surrounded by young girls. Thex were his wanted performers and also his exploration group for his targeted aufience. Bring girls into metal concerts and new boys will follow them. And Electric Callboy lost "Sushi" and they later found by accident Nico. In a way Babymetal had for several years the same problem. They lost in 2017 and 2018 Yui Mizuno their third member due to health reasons. And Su's and Moa's contract ended in 2020 with some extensions for Corona and their 10 year Concerts. So they looked around in Tokyo searching for what to do with their lives. And Koba was quite shocked when they returned to him under some conditions. One of them was they wanted to be a three member group again. And this point brought Koba in problems since he had an agreement with Momoko.. it was generally known that Momoko wanted to be a Babymetal for life, but she always missed it . And he had offered her if we don't have a Babymetal I will get you into K-Pop. We don"t know when the offer reached Momoko, but she had the offer if i fail at K-Pop I will be a Babymetal. She finally became the third Babymetal in April of 2024. And she was as excited as Su and Moa. For years they had feared that zhr fabs wouldn"t accept anyone else on Yuid place. But she was accepted immefiatly. She had earned Yuis place. And we are waiting for the first album where Momo is allowed to sing. And im this Song she even took turns with Kevin who would growl. And in fact zhey are especially not Kawai by itself. For Years they tried to appear older. But in fact for all idol groups this song would be suicied. Idols have to be pure. But Babymetal is no idol group, since Amuse tried to demote Su and revoked her idol status. But Kobas answer was: Sure, we don't need the idol Suzuka Nakamoto but Babymetal needs the Queen of Rock Sumetal. And this caused the crucification of the idol. And zhe disco Ball was needed. The Space had to look tight but Su and Nico could not stand next to each other. Su is quite small and she would no longer look adult but younger. A totally unwanted look in this Scene. And especially the Breakdown contains extreme many elements of the girls. As I already said even the growls were shared. This was the reason why both Production crews talk about a 50 / 50 collab. Electric Callboy delivered the basic structure and the box thene. Babymetal the girl theme and the Breakdown is nothing more than the merge of both Bands.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。They performed "REAL" Kingslayer (BMTH+BM on stage together) 4 times in Japan last year as a special rendition in the festival curated and hosted by BMTH. I witnessed the 2nd REAL one in Nagoya on Nov.1. That was mesmerizing 😍 and I forgot to breathe during the performance. In an interview Momometal made an interesting comment like : (1) The theme of this choreo is "collision of souls" that has an image like we throw the power multiplied by the two bands at the audience. (2) We danced with our fullest power and solid determination : "We do not care no matter what happens to us after the performance" I saw the girls literally do it hard. (BABYMETAL did this performance after their own strenuous one-hour show in the festival.) The one thing worried me was the statement at the end of this song in the final show in Tokyo on Nov.4. After joyful hugs with the girls, Oli said "We are never gonna play Kingslayer without them, ever again. Just not right." But I found that there was no need to worry. In 2024 BMTH started to use 3 CG figures resembling the girls on the backdrop. And the two groups performed this song together again in Las Vegas on April 27. In Nova Rock, Austria, on June 16 as well.

With regards your comments at the end about BMTH and atheism, if you're not aware, the UK is one of the least religious countries in the world, with 38% of the population putting 'none' in the last census. And even amongst those who put "christian", church attendance has been dropping at a huge rate over the past decades.

Good reaction. BABYMETAL and BMTH have been friends since they first met in 2015 and had often spoken of wanting to collaborate. In 2019 BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan. This song was recorded in 2020 during lockdown. BABYMETAL originally sent their contributions entirely in English, Oli Sykes asked them to include some Japanese. It was another 3 years before they finally had the chance to play it live together when BMTH arranged and hosted the NEX_FEST events in Japan around the start of November last year - that was where this video was filmed since BABYMETAL was one of the bands playing. They had done their own set earlier and came back out at all 4 events to join BMTH in their set for this song. You could tell they were all having the time of their lives performing together.

Welcome back. They recently played this together at Nova Rock Festival in Austria as part of the Europe Tour and everyone love to get wild, the girls love it too and they said it clear in a recent interview. It's been a while since i don't see Jack Black but i guess at least the haircut is similar, idk. This was the best 2020 collab between these two great bands and we finally got this collab on the stage together after so much time waiting for it. BMTH performed in previous years at Southside Festival in Germany and Hellfest Festival in France, there's a nice proshot version but with only BabyMetal backing track vocals, luckily now we got this amazing clip showing them sharing the same stage at Makuhari Messe during a festival called "NEX_FEST" ending October and starting November last year, and they did it not only once but four times in a row, everyone went bonkers with these, you can also find fancams of each night showing some different interactions at the end between Oli and the girls, SuMetal thanked to BMTH in all of them, that's the only thing i can complain about this clip but it's cool anyway. BMTH couldn't have better collab on their latest album Post Human Survival Horror, there are some others really good songs there thou but this one is just on another level. My suggestions are: "Parasite Eve" and "Teardrops", also "Ludens" from Death Stranding OST videogame. This song was produced by Mick Gordon, the same behind videogames like Doom, Wolfenstein and Prey, so you can feel the vibes here. They're friends since 2015 when met each other at Kerrang Awards so the collab was almost naturally unavoidable. They even performed as a support band for BabyMetal and Oli praise the Fox God too (atheist, dame, zettai)🦊🤘 The drum&bass instrumental intro on this song is called "Itch For The Cure" which is clearly a tribute to Linkin Park song "Cure For The Itch", but the short animation and dialogue wasn't part of the album track, it's a reference to Metal Gear Solid videogame created by Hideo Kojima, they got another MGS tribute song called "Shadow Moses" and later in 2019 they were part of Death Stranding OST, another Hideo Kojima game. Also you can find a short documentary about the making of this song where Oli said interesting things about the method they worked with the BM team and giving multiple choice of doing this. Next suggestion to meet a brand new collab while is hot: - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV. Better yet, next week is MoaMetal's birthday so next suggestion will fit better to celebrate her birthday: - MoaBanger live at Legend M 2019, which is Headbanger!! with MoaMetal singing the 2nd part of the song. Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this artistic play at the venue (2 times in the two-day Fox_Fest). What a bliss!! Soothing and exquisite performance by 5 elegant figures in the center 😍. Classy incorporation by our Kami Band on both sides (4 guitars in total) ❤ Various elements created by 3 beautiful performers and 6 instrumentalists with virtuosity were mixed and sublimed into one beauty by means of something like alchemy. The actual applause at the end of the song was much much much bigger than that recorded in this video. They did it together again in Belgian festival on June 20.

👍 👍 Easily one of my favorite BABYMETAL songs. Yes Tim and Scott's instrumentals are a driving force here but for me it is Suzuka's stunning vocal performance and Moa and Momo's beautiful backing vocals that seal it. Suzuka once again proves that (in my opinion) she is the most versatile and talented female singer today. She just loves to sing and it shows. Some people are over sensitive about anime association, and I'm not a big fan of anime songs but some Band-Maid anime songs are great music. I can't get this song out of my head. I think the song you are thinking about is 'neraiuchi' by Linda Yamamoto. They also used Japanese traditional instrument in this song. It's a backing track for sure but is very interesting to be used in such a chaotic song.

The vast majority of the Band-Maid fandom (Maidiacs or Carrier Pigeons) are very positive. Many of us feel that any negativity may reflect badly on the Ladies, so we keep ourselves in check, so as to reflect well upon them.

There are unfortunately a few younger fans who while they enjoy the Ladies music, their over enthusiasm is something we try to keep in check or ignore as the situation needs. Most of them quickly learn to go with the flow, although there are 3 in particular who may have left in a huff.

Kobato Miku's lyrical ingenuity! She's able to write lyrics in Nihongo and at the same time in English which, more often than not, rhymes or makes sense. Kobato-san is the band founder, rhythm guitarist and main lyricist.

A lot of punk, rock, hardcore, funk, jazz fusion and even rap at times wrapped up in Band Maid's influences and music. Someone posted a link on Reddit to someone who did their thesis on the use of both Japanese and English in song and poetry. It's evidently more than just a small thing.

Band Maid's secret super power is to remind you of bands you grew up listening to (at least people of our age brackets). They aren't copying them, but they remind you enough of them that the nostalgia kicks in and just floods your brain with happy. Then they do so many cool and interesting things within the song that when you listen to it over and over again you always find new awesome little twists and details they've included that you just didn't pick up the first time, so you're rewarded as a fan to just listen to them over and over again.

This is song will be including in the new album projected to be released in late summer, late August or September, timeframe. Japanese and many Asian bands commonly mixes English and their native languages in the lyrics, but BAND-MAID is really good at mixing them flawlessly and having longer sentences in English than other bands. Also, the sound BAND-MAID has, is more western rock sounding than other bands, which seems to make them into western markets easily than other Japan domestic only bands.

"Protect You" is another commissioned anime score. The anime "Grendizer U" is actually popular in France. I guess why there are so many "Ou lala, lalas" or it may be Maid -Speak for "We're gonna kick your ass!" This faced-paced, high energy, hard-driven song is more along the lines of what most Band-Maid fans love about the group. They put so many musical elements in their songs that it usually takes several listens to break it all down. All I know is these petite young Japanese women are incredibly talented and versatile.

Good reaction. How many times I hear: “I wasn’t expecting that” been listening to the group for about 5 years. They constantly improve. Very generous to fans. Definitely a live group. Saw them twice in Houston and NYC. They duplicate their sound onstage. Virtuoso players. I like the live videos. Many have close captions. The lyrics of this one are particularly vicious put down of an unfaithful person. Don’t You Tell features another bass / guitar feature. The guitarist channeling Carlos Santana for a bit on that one in my opinion. Lots of little often overlooked things musicians may pick up on like the wonderful transition at the end of the drum solo in Freedom back to the full group. Freedom is also a painful break up song but the girls are laughing so many interpret it to be happy. An older number Onset, an instrumental in the set list to give the lead singer a break is a nice example of the skill level of these fine musicians.

The old Kami Band for Japan and South East Asia and the Kami Band West for yeurope and the USA. But since they are the new Babymetal they are only joined by the Kami Band West. This went so far, that one of their American Guitarists now lives in Tokyo.
No, they have nothing to do with anime with the exception that Kobametal found Suzuka, when the three head girl group for the anime Karen Girls was dosolved. And the inhetitance is the other way. Most of the female voice actors of Anime were idols or wanted to become idols. And what they sang in their concerts, were idol songs. That was exactly the lesson that Koba teached to Babymetal, your music already contains metal, so there is no reason to be afraid of metal.Nearly all Anime theme songs are sung by idols. Koba knew what he was talking about he had written many of the Songs that they had performed in Sakura Gakuin and he was able to show to them, which basic rythm he followed. It is crazy but electric guitars are often used in Enki Spngs and they are often recognized as old and traditionell. Modern instruments were very fast absorbed into japanese music traditions. And added new elements to them. And Koba simply followed with Babymetal one concept. The japanese metal msrketvwas at his time extremly stale and consusted of purely male groups and audiences and he wanted to remodel it. And he was surrounded by young girls. Thex were his wanted performers and also his exploration group for his targeted aufience. Bring girls into metal concerts and new boys will follow them. And Electric Callboy lost "Sushi" and they later found by accident Nico. In a way Babymetal had for several years the same problem. They lost in 2017 and 2018 Yui Mizuno their third member due to health reasons. And Su's and Moa's contract ended in 2020 with some extensions for Corona and their 10 year Concerts. So they looked around in Tokyo searching for what to do with their lives. And Koba was quite shocked when they returned to him under some conditions. One of them was they wanted to be a three member group again. And this point brought Koba in problems since he had an agreement with Momoko.. it was generally known that Momoko wanted to be a Babymetal for life, but she always missed it . And he had offered her if we don't have a Babymetal I will get you into K-Pop. We don"t know when the offer reached Momoko, but she had the offer if i fail at K-Pop I will be a Babymetal. She finally became the third Babymetal in April of 2024. And she was as excited as Su and Moa. For years they had feared that zhr fabs wouldn"t accept anyone else on Yuid place. But she was accepted immefiatly. She had earned Yuis place. And we are waiting for the first album where Momo is allowed to sing. And im this Song she even took turns with Kevin who would growl. And in fact zhey are especially not Kawai by itself. For Years they tried to appear older. But in fact for all idol groups this song would be suicied. Idols have to be pure. But Babymetal is no idol group, since Amuse tried to demote Su and revoked her idol status. But Kobas answer was: Sure, we don't need the idol Suzuka Nakamoto but Babymetal needs the Queen of Rock Sumetal. And this caused the crucification of the idol. And zhe disco Ball was needed. The Space had to look tight but Su and Nico could not stand next to each other. Su is quite small and she would no longer look adult but younger. A totally unwanted look in this Scene. And especially the Breakdown contains extreme many elements of the girls. As I already said even the growls were shared. This was the reason why both Production crews talk about a 50 / 50 collab. Electric Callboy delivered the basic structure and the box thene. Babymetal the girl theme and the Breakdown is nothing more than the merge of both Bands.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。They performed "REAL" Kingslayer (BMTH+BM on stage together) 4 times in Japan last year as a special rendition in the festival curated and hosted by BMTH. I witnessed the 2nd REAL one in Nagoya on Nov.1. That was mesmerizing 😍 and I forgot to breathe during the performance. In an interview Momometal made an interesting comment like : (1) The theme of this choreo is "collision of souls" that has an image like we throw the power multiplied by the two bands at the audience. (2) We danced with our fullest power and solid determination : "We do not care no matter what happens to us after the performance" I saw the girls literally do it hard. (BABYMETAL did this performance after their own strenuous one-hour show in the festival.) The one thing worried me was the statement at the end of this song in the final show in Tokyo on Nov.4. After joyful hugs with the girls, Oli said "We are never gonna play Kingslayer without them, ever again. Just not right." But I found that there was no need to worry. In 2024 BMTH started to use 3 CG figures resembling the girls on the backdrop. And the two groups performed this song together again in Las Vegas on April 27. In Nova Rock, Austria, on June 16 as well.

With regards your comments at the end about BMTH and atheism, if you're not aware, the UK is one of the least religious countries in the world, with 38% of the population putting 'none' in the last census. And even amongst those who put "christian", church attendance has been dropping at a huge rate over the past decades.

Good reaction. BABYMETAL and BMTH have been friends since they first met in 2015 and had often spoken of wanting to collaborate. In 2019 BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan. This song was recorded in 2020 during lockdown. BABYMETAL originally sent their contributions entirely in English, Oli Sykes asked them to include some Japanese. It was another 3 years before they finally had the chance to play it live together when BMTH arranged and hosted the NEX_FEST events in Japan around the start of November last year - that was where this video was filmed since BABYMETAL was one of the bands playing. They had done their own set earlier and came back out at all 4 events to join BMTH in their set for this song. You could tell they were all having the time of their lives performing together.

Welcome back. They recently played this together at Nova Rock Festival in Austria as part of the Europe Tour and everyone love to get wild, the girls love it too and they said it clear in a recent interview. It's been a while since i don't see Jack Black but i guess at least the haircut is similar, idk. This was the best 2020 collab between these two great bands and we finally got this collab on the stage together after so much time waiting for it. BMTH performed in previous years at Southside Festival in Germany and Hellfest Festival in France, there's a nice proshot version but with only BabyMetal backing track vocals, luckily now we got this amazing clip showing them sharing the same stage at Makuhari Messe during a festival called "NEX_FEST" ending October and starting November last year, and they did it not only once but four times in a row, everyone went bonkers with these, you can also find fancams of each night showing some different interactions at the end between Oli and the girls, SuMetal thanked to BMTH in all of them, that's the only thing i can complain about this clip but it's cool anyway. BMTH couldn't have better collab on their latest album Post Human Survival Horror, there are some others really good songs there thou but this one is just on another level. My suggestions are: "Parasite Eve" and "Teardrops", also "Ludens" from Death Stranding OST videogame. This song was produced by Mick Gordon, the same behind videogames like Doom, Wolfenstein and Prey, so you can feel the vibes here. They're friends since 2015 when met each other at Kerrang Awards so the collab was almost naturally unavoidable. They even performed as a support band for BabyMetal and Oli praise the Fox God too (atheist, dame, zettai)🦊🤘 The drum&bass instrumental intro on this song is called "Itch For The Cure" which is clearly a tribute to Linkin Park song "Cure For The Itch", but the short animation and dialogue wasn't part of the album track, it's a reference to Metal Gear Solid videogame created by Hideo Kojima, they got another MGS tribute song called "Shadow Moses" and later in 2019 they were part of Death Stranding OST, another Hideo Kojima game. Also you can find a short documentary about the making of this song where Oli said interesting things about the method they worked with the BM team and giving multiple choice of doing this. Next suggestion to meet a brand new collab while is hot: - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV. Better yet, next week is MoaMetal's birthday so next suggestion will fit better to celebrate her birthday: - MoaBanger live at Legend M 2019, which is Headbanger!! with MoaMetal singing the 2nd part of the song. Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this artistic play at the venue (2 times in the two-day Fox_Fest). What a bliss!! Soothing and exquisite performance by 5 elegant figures in the center 😍. Classy incorporation by our Kami Band on both sides (4 guitars in total) ❤ Various elements created by 3 beautiful performers and 6 instrumentalists with virtuosity were mixed and sublimed into one beauty by means of something like alchemy. The actual applause at the end of the song was much much much bigger than that recorded in this video. They did it together again in Belgian festival on June 20.

Yes Tim and Scott's instrumentals are a driving force here but for me it is Suzuka's stunning vocal performance and Moa and Momo's beautiful backing vocals that seal it.
