Hey! We are two Swedish digital nomads - that love to explore the world!
We started our KZread channel to show our every day life, to give our best tips and explain how we ended up where we are today, working fully remote and traveling the world.
One video per week, subscribe to our channel if you feel like it :)
Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey!

This is so great! Aligns with my new journey of just manifesting and taking steps.... unfortunately can't work remotely as a doctor 😂 well not yet anyway
Thank you for the video. Would you guys consider investing there?
Great area, $250.000 is actually almost 1 million dirham! So its a good value property but not the cheapest one. The xheapest district must be International City
It all depends on your price points. There are a lot of other areas where you can buy for a cheaper price. 😊
happy u are very realistic, just as life realy is like anywhere people live. Most make it only glamorous.
Thank you for your kind comment! My ambition was to tell it as truthfully as possible 😊
Wow loved your video great job
Thanks a mill! 🫶
Nice video guys! Wish you all the best!
Thanks a mill! 🫶

Thanks Rapha!! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow
Yes, it was amazing!
Like something out of a James Bond set... interesting :)
Definietly! One of the most unique places we stayed at!! 😳
Great video guys.. keep pushing and keep making the dreams your reality 😎
Thanks, we really appreciate it! 🫶
Vad heter ni på IG😃
Whats your insta ?
The taxi driver are mainly pakistani , indian , and bangladeshi, they have never talk to women in their home countries so they don't know how to talk to them.
Yeah I totally understand that and there are a lot of them that normally are really social to me 🙂
Hello, this is a great video full of information. Thanks for that. Nevertheless, I have a question about it. You talked about dating in Dubai. Please imagine a man from Europe has found his woman in Dubai and the two fall in love with each other. The two want to live together in Europe . But now the woman has a minor son from a previous relationship with a man who also lives in Dubai. Can this cause stress when they moving to Europe or does the father let his child go with his ex-wife without any problems? How are such relationships handled in Dubai?
The taxi drivers dont talk you out of respect for Jakob. It's not appropriate to converse with a strangers wife unless she asks a question directly.
صحيح كلامك
Yes, exactly. It just take some time to get used to the culture difference 🙂
Nice one, Subscribed. Please keep'em comin...
Much love, more to come! 🫶
Hi guys, nice video and investment. How is and the nearby area developing? Can you share some prospective figures of short and long term rentals please? Do you have an ideas on the forecasta of the area for the futurs? Thanks guys 🙏👍
Thank you so much! 🙏 We believe that all of Dubai South has massive potential with all the new developments. The area is shifting to a more high-end community. This impacts the prices for both short- and long-term rentals. We advice checking Bayut for rental prices in Al Furjan. Right now, they have several interesting developments along the metro line going out to Expo. A tip is to check out Nabni and Deyaar's projects. Have a look at our Expo video for more details on that area. We will also share more videos on our apartment closer to handover. Let us know if you have more questions 😊
Really miss expo. Im still touched by it till today feel like a piece of me is still there. Experiencing it must be one of the best things in life
We bet it was lovely! We wish we could have been there when it was fully open🙂
Hello Malin and Jakob. Great content you got there. I think all this channel needs is a little push to get things moving. I can help with that. My info is on this very channel I'm using to comment.
Can you give a breakdown of how you financed this please. Do they offer longterm mortgages for long terms like they do in Europe or do they expect cash buyers?
There are several options. The developers tends to have payments plans, where you split payments until handover. For example 80% during the constructions and 20% at the handover. Typical you can't take a mortgage until the property is fully developed. However, if you buy a property that is already completed, you can get a mortgage like in Europe. Getting a mortgage from a bank in UAE is a completely different story. Usually, you need a full time employer in the UAE and you need to make a certain amount of salary. We are planning to make a video on this subject.

Hello, How are you?
Very good, thank you! How are you doing?
@@MalinandJakob I'm fine, I had some important talk with you, when are you free and how can I contact you? Please let me know. Thanks
Another set of europeans setting down in Dubai now...its getting kind of irritating.
Why is it so?
@@MalinandJakob because they oppress Muslims in their country and not let them practice their rituals I.e no hijab, shutting down of halal meat shops, no prayer calls and shutting down of mosque and much Much more. But then they will come and enjoy the freedom and lifestyle of the Arab world.
Nice video thx
Happy you liked it 😊
Would be so cool but I couldn’t handle the bugs 🐞
It is still 100% worth it! Bring insect spray and you’ll be ok 😊
Great content 🎉
🙏
Please check out the other side of Dubai, walk from canopy by hilton alseef to arabian tea house to xva gallery, I’m quite sure you would enjoy it, please visit and share your opinion 😊🙏🏼
love your content... this is really giving a "real world" impression apart from the shiny brochures. would be great to have another video with a summary / total overview of the upcoming developments / areas.
This is why we do it! Thank you so much for your input, much appreciated. Let's see if we can put a video together. We have quite a few more videos coming with other locations so stay tuned.
@@MalinandJakob great
Great. I do guys!😊Those rocks look amazing! I love how they wrap around the town. Thanks for sharing! We subscribed!! Keep it up 👍
So happy to hear this! Seems that you have travelled a lot as well 😊
Good Info. I’m leaving to barca from california next week. wish me luck!
Happy to hear! Hope you have a nice trip 😊
I worked in all city walks buildings u make one building i know it
Nice! Do you like City Walk?
@@MalinandJakob yes ofcource
Thank you dear ones, what another great vlog!!! Love & blessings always
Love the support ❤️ This is the reason we enjoy posting!
I am sure you agree Stockholm is way more beautiful... This is only streets, malls and restaurants looks super boring
Difficult to compare the two. We love Stockholm and definitely recommend everyone to visit, especially in the summer months. It has a long history with charming architecture which is difficult to compete with. Dubai is completely different and has a lot of upside. It is modern, things work, great for networking, the sun and beaches are also a big plus 😊 Also, from our experience, people are very welcoming and friendly.
Great video! I’m thinking about the City Walk area. I’m also a remote worker.
Highly recommend and specially Rove Hotel City Walk! 🙂
I love jlt..not really soulless and with a great community living in
That’s great to hear! We have to come back and give it another chance 🙂
Finishing doesn’t look good. Poor development
The place is not ready to be handed over
The apartment is not finished yet. It will look much better when it’s completed 🙂
That’s correct 🙂
@@MalinandJakob thanks for the response. I bought my first apartment in Dubai Hills Estate last month & enjoyed your video on DHE.
@@mujtaba2762 congrats!! 😊 Happy that you like the videos!
why has this utter tripe ended up on my YT recommendation.? 2 dullards
Soulless is a perfect description
That’s how we felt, but some people say it’s nice 🙂
I really enjoy your videos touring different areas of Dubai! Would love to see more vlog-style videos with recommendations of places to eat, places to visit, fun activities, etc. while in Dubai. Cheers!
Thank you so much 😊 That’s a great idea. Stay tuned, more to come.
I tryly love your raw/unedited videos, a welcome refresh from those Dubai sales people, your honest evaluation is much helpful and appreciated, feels like talking to friends on zoom, please don’t change your style 👍🏼
Thank you very much for your kind words. This makes us so happy! That’s what we are hoping to achieve, a honest opinion that will help others 🙂
I really enjoyed this video. Can you please upload a new video so we can see what your neighborhood looks like after the flood? How has the flood impacted your decision to stay in Dubai?
Thank you so much! We actually left Dubai just a few days before the rain. However, our friends told us that most of the places has dried up and looks the same as before 🙂 It hasn’t affected us at all.
Good investment. You’ll get a decent yield, tax free makes it even better
Thanks, we hope that’s the case 🙂
Heading here next month. Good to get your thoughts 😊
Happy to hear! Let us know if you have any specific questions! 😊
Despite being more conservative Abu Dhabi is way better in my opinion as it’s walkable and well planed. it will probably surpass Dubai in the next 20 years.
We agree, our feeling is that Abu Dhabi have planned it better for pedestrians. We have only stayed there a couple of days but next time we are planning to stay there for a month to get a better understanding how it's to live there 🙂
whats the name of this area?
The area is actually called City Walk 😊 It is developed by Meraas.
Probably best place . Near to public beaches, 5 min dubai mall and Jumairah area also has its charm.
We totally agree! We love this area 😊
Downtown on arab Emirates tour🚗
🙂
Even this outfit is pushing the limits of UAE dress modesty.
Everyone has the right to their own opinion 🙂
We suddenly realized to many bugs
It was actually not that bad 😅
