    How can I get this

    Would NOT recommend acetone, especially in a video for the public like this. Acetone eats away plastic (including parts of the PCB), if anyone makes the smallest mistake and gets any acetone wicking off the metal frame and onto the plastic/PCB parts, it's game over.

    A quick cheat - don't de-solder the part. Cut the part off from the other side, leaving the pins sticking up..... cut the pins on the new part a little shorter so the part doesn't sit too high and just solder the legs together. This isn't best practice, but it works just fine. I was able to do it with the PCB still mounted in the case. Powered off and capacitors dissipated. I have an electronics manufacturing company that assembles PCBs and completely aware of best practice. But this is a simple work around for people that don't have experience soldering and don't want to take apart their unit.

    @@claytonyoung9941 the pea method is used for capped processors because the cpu die is much smaller than the actual cap This method I show is for uncapped and we focus on the die only. Pea method is applicable to most “gaming pc” builds as they use regular capped processors

    My note 10 plus got wet (the edges were detached) and the display simply went black. 1 month later, the display worked normally from an minute or twoo, and alone here in my room, just turned on. But then it went out again. What can it be? I can use it with HDMI, touch works... but black screen

    If you're having trouble finding old batteries to recycle (or maybe want a slightly better battery) head to a mobile phone repair shop - they often have batteries new out of the box for older model phones which ended up being excess stock. I just went and bought a bunch for $5 each. Awesome vid BTW, thanks for sharing!

    From other videos, it looked like a thermistor decreased in resistance as it headed up. For the Hayward boards, does the board logic measure the voltage and kill the power if it reaches a certain threshold? As a current limiter, I'd have thought it would increase resistance with heat, but that doesn't seem to be how these work.

  • @DANT98
    @DANT982 ай бұрын

    I've got a board I just replaced, but the symptoms was no power LED, though it was showing a "no flow" LED. I'd like to see if the old board is repairable. Can I test the thermistor without removing it to see if it's broken? It isn't visibly damaged. The rubber around the legs *might* be a little discolored, but it could just be age. I would think I could touch the contact plates with my multimeter and measure if the resistance is as expected at room temp.

    Never had a warranty my ASS! the USED capton tape looses factory seal once removed. Replacing the capton tape will make the home button eventually not "click" cause the nipple (on the capton tape) has slid off where it is supposed to be. We replace the actuator, because we have the experience and evidence of how a "quick fix" is just that.
