  @@SpaceMushroomAdventures yeah man I love your style haha I honestly think u will have a lot of success in youtube. It always depends on the f* algorithm but yeah I keep my word on that haha maybe not 10K in a week as I said haha :D but keep uploading regularly! one random video will be picked by the algorithm and will blow up. Also, as a small advice from a random stranger (so pls ignore me if u think otherwise haha no hard feelings, I could be wrong): upload as much as you can and try new things in each video, just to see what works and what doesn't. Maybe longer video? shorter? less jokes? more technical? IMO u have mostly sorted out. Videos are fun, not too long, etc. I just feel that sometimes jokes (when Steve jumps in) are a bit on the long side, and they will be funnier if they are shorter. But that's my opinion, maybe 99% of the people things otherwise haha so u need to upload a lot and try! Also, even that I love the serie that u are doing about the paper plane game, I feel that youtube's algorithm will work better for you if each of your videos is you creating a short game about something very random and funny, like the one you did about chess. I think people that does not know your channel yet will be more inclined into clicking on "I built a game where you are the bullet!!" (random thought, u can use it 😂) than the 3rd part of a series about a game they don't know anything about. Later on when u have some traction u could do series though, I love it, but maybe not for the beginning. Sorry for this ton of text and the non-asked advice haha this is maybe by 3rd comment on youtube, I never write nothing here haha but I honestly believe this could end up being a super cool and big channel!

  @@neorogertube Hey, Thanks a lot for taking the time to write all of this ahahah I think you are right on the Steve part, I watched some of my old videos and I noticed that the jokes with Steve were a bit too long, so I tried to make them a bit shorter. I think I could make those jokes even a bit shorter. As for the game series vs standalone game, I think I'll mostly do videos about this paper airplane game in the near future, as it is a game that I really want to develop. I think you are right in saying that making a funny standalone game will be more interesting to people that don't know the channel though. I might be doing some of those in the future, maybe as a break from developing the paper airplane game ahahah

  I can make a Demo of the game to let people try it. I like the idea. At this point the game still lacks the basic mechanics though. And the trees are poorly optimized, so it will probably lag quite a bit ahahah. I'll implement the basic mechanics and fix the tree optimization problem, then I'll release a Demo. It will take some months though

  I'd make the plane slow down over time so that you can implement a bosst that gains "stamina" when going close to objects. Plus I would make the sense of speed a little more / make the rotating accelerate / decelerate so it feels less rigid. Looks fun tho :D

  Thanks! Yeah, I definitely need to improve the sense of speed part. I'll adjust the camera shake effect (it is a bit too subtle now) and the rotation acceleration/deceleration. I implemented the rotation accceleration towards the end, but I still have to play a bit with the acceleration values as it might be accelerating too fast that the transition between "not rotating" and "rotating at full speed" is barely noticeable I think I'll also need to add some more effects to convey the speed a bit more. Maybe blurring the edges would help, but I am not sure ahahah As for the stamina, I didn't think about it, but I think it might be a good idea to implement some sort of stamina mechanism in the game

  This was a reference to one of my past videos in which I tried Godot. At the time, Unity wanted to implement a policy that would force developers to pay 20 cents for every download of a game they made. For developers that made free game(and not only for them) this was a huge problem because a lot of them would have needed to pay more than what they earned from their games The part about Unity stealing all of my money was a joke to reference that video (and that past event)

  Game development is a difficult process, yet you make it seem so simple in this video! 😄 A bit of a technical question, are you using different LOD's for trees in your scene?

  Thanks :D About the LODs, I am using Nanite for the trees. Nanite is a feature in Unreal Engine 5 that basically creates dynamic LODs, and it is optimized quite well. The asset pack also contains LODs for the trees, but I noticed that the game runs a bit faster when trees have Nanite support vs when I use them with LODs I think that since the trees are moving slightly (to imitate the effect of the wind), the performance of the game is not optimal. I will test the game with static trees with less triangles in the future
