This idea that electricity is going to change anything at all is false. Just the escaping co2 and methane is more than cars and trucks. Throw in the waking up permafrost and that bacteria and coming around- not mentioning the plastic problem thats going to effect all living creatures and the nuclear power waste problem that will eventually become a disaster for some unlucky people in the near future are all children of the love of money- All these problems are from the love of money and the funneling of people through a system of materialism, finances, and idolatry. The signs are everywhere. Its all derivatives of sinful man and sinful ideas.

Our fate is sealed. Move away from cities. Stock seeds, rice, beans etc. We are only in the very beginning stages of a catastrophic future no doubt about it. Stronger storms, rising oceans, wars for resources, lawlessness. Prep your family. Each year will bring hotter temps, increasing immigrants, more expensive items. Less and less living and more and more surviving....

THE PLANETS WEATHER IS ELECTRICAL - ASK THOSE WHO ARE QUALIFIED - THE IEEE. There is definately a global weather problem. But believing that CO2 can somehow control the Worlds weather (or any other element in the atmosphere) is itself so childish as to be imbecilic. The Worlds weather is controlled by the planets Electrical behaviour, which fluctuates in line with changes in the Sun's behaviour. And if you were intelligent enough to ask the Scientists who understand such behaviour, the IEEE, (THE INSTITUTE FOR ELECTRICITY) you would get the correct Scientific answers. Not Politically motivated Pseudo Science as currently !!!!

The cheapest method, by far and away, of extracting CO2 from the atmosphere, and disposing of it for many many millennia, is to fertilise ocean algae. This is to be done specifically beyond the edge of the continental shelf, and at the latitude of the two tropics, Capricorn and Cancer. The reason these sites are chosen is because they are historically the least productive, fisheries wise, and thus have the least impact on indigenous and local communities, and commercial fishing. The process involves the spreading of the ocean surface with plain iron ore (iron oxide being the growth limiting factor for algae). This results in algal blooms that consume enormous volumes of CO2 from the water column, that go on to become either food for various marine life, or die to rain down their consumed CO2 into the oceanic abyssal plains, thus being locked into long-term ocean-floor sedimentary rock layers. The iron ore can be directly dug up from the ground from any number of sites around the world, and must simply be crushed to be made available for spreading and consumption by the algae. Not only does this method remove CO2 from the water column, but it also combats the rise in ocean acidity by removing the carbonic acid that is precipitated from the atmosphere and into the oceans. Meridian township is almost certainly losing money on every road upgrade, i doubt anybody did a taxable return on investment study, the money spent on these road upgrades most likely cannot be paid for by the residents who benefit from the road over the lifespan of the road. heaven forbid we redesign these roads to reduce car traffic and increase walkability/bikability

Well, many of the "Founders" were land speculators, such as Washington and Jefferson and in generations after them. They "bought" land from some "chief" who had no authority to sell it and didn't understand the concept of owning land, and then they sold it to settlers. The settlers were generally just looking for a piece of land to grow food on. The Enclosures in England in the 1600's caused many small villagers to lose their bit of commons (where the poor people grew food; they had common gardens) so the English poor were left with nothing but starvation or immigration to America. Other settlers from Europe were also looking for a way to survive. So I don't blame them. ( I have a B.A. in Native American Studies and am Shawnee/Cherokee.)

Well I think it is safe to say that a good many people happen to disagree about this statement you make that reduced visibility actually leads to a safer intersection. And point of fact, this is precisely evidenced by the discussion, calls, etc that you mention. I'm sure if you look you can find studies to support what you suggest, but weigh that against how many accidents cite obstructed visibility as a factor. Please tell you you don't honestly believe what you are saying...

Sometimes it is assumed that things that sound right, are right, even if research says otherwise. This development sounds like one of those times. It sounds right that buildings built closer to a road will cause more accidents. But I think Ms. Clark was saying that the research shows that drivers slow down when buildings are closer to roads, thus resulting in less accidents. Ms. Clark, is that what you were saying? If so, I'd love to read some of the research. Can you refer me to a good book, online publication, study, etc.? Thanks for all you do.

Building a structure that obstructs the view of the cross traffic is probably about the worst possible course of action that could've been taken here. I'm honestly wondering if they built the building, realized that it was closer to the road and blocked the view more than they thought, then just came up with this "reasoning" as an excuse. If traffic is traveling too fast through an area and it becomes so dangerous that it leads to fatalities, it seems like blocking the potential obstacles from view is the last thing you'd want to do. If people are speeding in an area, there are so many other ways to stop that. You could have a police officer stationed there. You could put up huge signs that say "SLOW DOWN" or a sign that monitors the drivers' speeds. Heck, even fricking speed bumps would be better than this monstrosity. The truth of the matter is, the drivers who are the most dangerous are not going to see a giant structure in the way and say "oh, I guess I'd better slow down to better see who is approaching." If they didn't stop with what was there before, _decreasing_ their visibility won't make that any better. The same people will continue speeding and will now just have less reaction time to brake for anything in the way. The right course of action here would've been to use another method of slowing traffic down and to acknowledge that a building blocking visibility won't make the street any safer. With proper visibility and another method of slowing, drivers would have the appropriate speed and reaction time to stop before they hit an obstacle. But this "solution" provides neither of those needed steps and will just result in more dangerous conditions in this area.
