The car that got Virgil Exner fired. A significant piece of automotive design. The original prototypes featured asymmetrical headlight pods and similar treatment on the back. The long hood, short deck look would come back a few years later on pony cars.

the 1974 pontiac gto that you talked about a few months back is now a johnny lightning toy car featured in a red color. it is the first time they came out with that body style I believe from a major company that specialized in making those. so you are right. it should get more attention and will just increase in value in the future.

I had a 1991 Chrysler New Yorker. Great looking car, comfortable to ride in and drive. However, the engines were not the most reliable in the long run and the transmissions were suspect for reliability. I sod it after 3 years as the engine was starting to act up. I should mention that I always do preventative maintenance on my vehicles and never abuse them. There were a few years in this segment of Chrysler's history that even though the cars were great looking, they did have reliability issues.

I'm with Andy. That is a give-a-way price. Last year on bring a trailer 1 really clean example sold in the mid 40's and later on another sold for $62K Yes. The sale went through. I've got mine listed for $42k.. It's a 1969 and is almost show room with 63,400 miles. His price is based on what he wants from the car is all I can figure???

I don't recall the car ever being sold with triple Stromberg carbs, my '72 had dual Strombergs - I'm confused about your comment they went for carbs in '76?! Strombergs ARE Carbs...?? ALL US cars got carbs, only non-US cars got Petrol Injection (PI)

The Avanti did not use the Monte Carlo chassis until 1987. 1985 was the last year of the original Studebaker frame. There was no 1986 Avanti.

Hoping all transmission (A604) recalls and services have been performed. Peak ‘k-car’. Then, the LH cars showed up a few years later , along with the beginning of a relationship with Daimler Benz. My 2020 300S 5.7 is an excellent reflection of that woefully short , but very positive relationship.(for Chrysler).

I’ve been looking at this but I’m a bit skeptical. Looks like it was bought for 1500.00 previously and recently. Seems like someone got a phenomenal deal but why hasn’t it been sold. Looks beautiful. Hmm. Wish I knew the history and when it was restored… lots of questions. Bob

When Chrysler dropped its name from the Imperial, the Imperial still looked like something built by Chrysler. They just couldn't get away from it. Dual master cylinders began to appear on most makes by 1967.

I recently picked up an all original 1976 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau. I bought it from the original owners 74 year old Daughter whose 96 Mother just passed away and was sitting in her garage since 1994. The odometer currently reads 14,872 and the swivel bucket seat interior has no rips and appears nearly perfect. It even has a good fresh smell in it. It is fully loaded with power windows, door locks, a/c (which I just replaced the compressor on) tilt wheel, cruise control and full guage package. It also is. G code car which means it has the optional 400 CID (6.6 Liter) V-8. All in all that Cutlass is nice but I got my Monte Carlo for about $8000 less even though I put about $3000 into it ,so far.

I purchased a white squire pinto wagon. Gas was an issue at that time. My wife and I decided to get the wagon with a four cylinder with an automatic. Red, yellow and brown plaid seats. My wife wanted it at first we kept that car about three months. We traded it in for a full size LTD wagon.

My step mother loved her fury three sedan. It was gold with a black top that looked and felt as if it were a vinyl but it was painted. The interior was green with an armrest center. 318 V8. She had itvfir about ten years by then thefurys were getting smaller and my dad told her to buy a caprice sedan from than on.

My least favourite Pinto front end. Earlier and later models were considerably more attractive. The V6 option makes all the difference, both in terms of refinement and adequate power. The pricing seems a bit optimistic, and the driver's side carpet surprisingly dirty for a car being photographed for sale.

I found a Google such that said someone paid $33,000 for a different Pinto Squire wagon. I understand it is hard to figure a price. Always can go down. Yes build quality was terrible back them for everyone. To be honest there wasn't room for the second seat! I think it's a $10,000 car given it's condition. Sounds like a fun channel, so I did the right thing and subscribed.

the “Commando V8” front fender badging is missing that would have been integrated with the metal side moldings - this vinyl side molding was not available in 1968 - there should also be engine displacement information on the aft side of the hood ornament visible by the driver

beautiful survivor! Back in the day, my family had one of these in slightly darker green metallic, as a station wagon, and it was so big you heard an echo inside. Lousy parts quality: in the first year, the windscreen teared after using the heater full-blast in the winter, and the tank sprung a leak. Going on vacation, you always knew there was going to be some adventure involved. And you took off the carb cover while the engine was running, it looked like somebody flushing the toilet. One forgets how bad cars were back then.

it's a low budget repaint, right front fender gold pentastar is missing as well as the chrome fender trim standard in the III's, hood ornament is also not present. That and studded snows says be careful for bondo at that price. Shoulder belts were an option only on the III and came with a passenger door side mirror with the package, presents nice but a Mopar guy is gonna microscope this before dropping 12 large. I know, I am one. I'd be all in at $6,000. Anyway, nice survivor and I give the guy much respect for trying, it just doesn't make the grade at 12 5.
