How do those DRLs switch from amber to white? Is there a setting for that or do they turn amber with the parking lights on?

Just got a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid XLE which I’m sure has similar equipment and drivetrain. We’re getting 44-45 mpg around town so I guarantee this car would exceed the EPA rating.

I have a 2018 Camry XSE hybrid and I love it. Comfortable for long trips and very economical. Last summer my wife and I drove from Reno Nevada to Green Bay Wisconsin and back with lots of side trips along the way. Total distance was 6800 miles and we used 145 gallons of gas while driving slightly above the speed limits all the way. Climbed the Rockies with no sweat. Everything worked as it is supposed to and did not use one drop of oil. These are great cars.

Awesome review, love to see that face in the braking test haha, nice to hear some compliments on the hybrid powertrain and the huge panoramic ceiling is amazing and agree about keeping the classic car around ( just like Mazda6 was discontinued) !

Speaking of killing off the Legacy. I just got a 24 Legacy sport just at the very end of 2023 and I love it - that turbo shove is phenomenal. So sad Subaru killed them off. But glad I'll still have options in a few years like this or the Honda Civic or Accord Hybrids.

My favorite thing to do in your videos is seeing how close I can guess the swaybar diameters before your reveal that data. But I also... am a nerd. Regarding the Camry, I am always impressed by how far Toyota will go to make a car that has absolutely no sex appeal. I do think it's some kind of Japanese thing that we will never understand.

Only opinion I have is I had a crosstrek with fake shifts and now have a forester without them and the fake shifts are nice for hills and the like because of the ability to down shift and the slows down having 98' wrx swap that you can just down shift and don't have to use the brakes is nice when you know you going to have to slow down then speed up or want to manage speed without having to hit the brakes, but that being said if the fake shifter only came on when in manual mode or when you hit the paddles it would be nice. Got used to the ability to go. Is that a cop? Downshift downshift and loose like 20mph without having to brake also nice for big hills on road trips where you can just throw it in manual and don't have to have your foot on the brake the whole time.

I have a 2023 Toyota Corolla hatchback. It also takes the 0w8 oil. It cost $25 a quart! It's $155 for an oil change at my local Toyota dealer. So much for affordable.

We need to stop the SUV crossover craze seriously. Cars (hatchbacks, wagons) are better on asphalt on all aspects. Yet people are willing to make a paycheck worth payment for that one camping trip.

A performance version wouldn't be that hard to make, better front springs/ rebound rate as they currently appear to be too soft based on the amount of dive in the braking test, and the ability to turn the rear motors power up to 11.

In Australia, Camry's are mostly used by government and taxi's and so it's regarded as a car for those that just want to blend, it gets you from A to B reliably. This updated model however, in my opinion is a bit of a head turner, especially if they make a TRD version.

I know this isn't a factor in Tucson but, in your opinion would it be worth paying the extra money for the AWD version for those of us who get snow? Is the electric motor in the back not powerful enough to make a difference? Thnx
