What a very well produced video. Holy cats. People should hire you for product work (if that's not already your gig).

Breathtaking work. Please keep making these, what a wonderful ode to the platform. I have a GM5 myself and love it dearly, I have been wishing for years for Panasonic to make an updated modern version. I hope this video gets many many more views. Have you tried the Panasonic-Leica 15mm f/1.7 lens? It is a lovely fit for the GM5.

@@SeanMcGown The adapter will depend on what camera you have. You can find Pen F to Micro Four Thirds adapter quite easily, and shouldn’t cost much.

Thank you! A remarkable video and images. Having spent time in Japan in the 1980's and taken many similar film images, your images brought back happy and haunting memories as if suddenly transported back in time 40 years! I bought a GM5 back in 2014 and it was a great street camera with the 20mm f/1.7. 40mm Full-frame is my favorite focal length for street photography. I sold the GM5 few years ago for $200US to get an LX100 MkI. I just looked at the prices on the GM5 and see some for $1,000!. I still have an LX5 with the 11mp CCD sensor and the LVF-1 electronic viewfinder that produces unique and remarkable images similar color and tone to a Leica M8. If you have not tried the LX5 it might be something to consider.

I have been on the fence looking at MFT cameras for over a year with the GM1/5 on the top of my list. This video tipped me over the edge and I just received my GM5 yesterday! Thank you, this video and your shots are just amazing.

I had exactly this camera/lens setup. BEST small camera ever! Sadly it broke (as did a lot of people’s control dials) and with the next smallest camera being the GX85 I got a Fuji X-E3 with the 27mm pancake. If Panasonic released a successor to the GM5 I’d be all over it :)

Never thought I'd watch something so beautiful that's dedicated to the GM5. Hopefully someone from Panasonic watches this and realises that they left a void in the market (and in many GM fans) by not continuing the line. Thank you for making and sharing this!

Ah the early days of digicam technology when 3mp felt like 30mp... I enjoyed watching your video, very well put together and very cinematic sequences, I like how you used that light source when filming the camera and the POV clips were nice, very engaging. I enjoy budget photography myself and feature a lot of old cameras, I've added your channel, it's always good to connect with other retro photography creators.
