Dear Mr. Matt, In the name of all Eritrean fans thank you Mr Matt for giving Biniam Girmay a chance to interview and introduce him to your viewers in France and around the world. Cyclying to Eritrea is just like soccer to Brazil. Cycling in Eritrea has a background with the coming of Italians to Eritrea the beginning of 19 century. But more developed when competition started 1940 to 1970s and more after 1991 that is after Eritrea's Independence. The rest is history. The African Cycling Championship has become a catalyst and domination in the cycling in Eritrea. Eritreans were given chances to train in Europe. The impact is tremendous like Daniel Teklehaimanot and Biniam Girmay are good examples and still there 5 to 7 Eritreans in different clubs in Europe. In Eritrea Cycling has become more popular than ever and when Daniel Teklehaimanot won King of the Mountains in Tour De France in 2015 and that was a turning point fir Eritrean riders. Then the coming of Biniam Girmay to Europe and become a member of The Intermarche Wanty of Belgium things have changed so fast. He made history coming out Eritrea- Africa winning international competitions like a stage in Giro d'italia and a stage Tour De France 2024 and other big races. Winning this year a stage in the Tour De France of 2024 is special for Eritrea - Africa and his personal career. The Eritrean fans are crazy and the come out in full forces to support their fellow citizens who compete in Cycling with carrying the National Flages. In doubt you can see the Eritrean Fans from the Moon. Biniam Girmay's achievements in the last years competition with his team Intermarche Wanty will change very dramatic cycling in Eritrea and the young Eritreans. There are more Eritrean Cyclists today as members of different clubs. From his interview it looks his childhood dream has come true. Winning s stage in Tour De France - The Morher of all Cycling Competition around the World. Dear Girmay Biniam is still young and we hope the coming full ten years we will enjoy the competition. There are certain things he needs to adjust in order to win big competitions in his Career. Here are my personal advices: Personal life change; I wish his wife joins him here in Belgium and this will have a big moral boost, good for physical and mental conditions, intense training and development of new skills, physical fitness and extra.
