  That first game was kind of dumb. EOD should have realized that Rock had a mini with a raid camp. Even if Rock built a shield generator and held his main EOD would have had a pretty significant advantage with map control. Grabbing the nodes and minis while preventing Rock from expanding for as long as possible would have been enough. He should have gone for the mini in my opinion. There was no way Rock could have defended it. Strategy games are about converting one advantage into another like a snowball effect. No need to finish the game that quickly. Pros gamers tend to focus too much on precision rather than what is most practical. Allow room for error.

  Game 2 went on way too fucking long, EOD won at the 60 minute mark when he mamaged to take a base, then it was 40 minutes of stale mate, i have no idea why they kept it going.

  Hero should have stayed a bit longer I think. Heavy Grunts were a bit too late and too little, I missed a bit a Yapyap mine there to deal with the ghosts... Next time! Great series

  Interesting. Is the AoM community pretty casual? I guess I am used to watching StarCraft 2 games where people in "Grand Finals" are minmaxed af. It looks like these 2 leave workers idle a lot and make novice mistakes quite often.

  Just got HW1 and 2 on GamePass so went around lookin' for an esports scene. Glad to see there is! Weird that in an RTS game, you can't see game stats if you surrender.

  That 2nd game really was decided by Yap Yap’s PDSM. It gave EOD just enough time each pop for the economy and reinforcements. The Grunt Mech’s ultra hustle was also key in healing the structure up quickly during this period. Combine this with Engineer shields, cloaking gens, tier 3 beam and Yap Yap is VERY tough to break.

  The Command Mantis and Commander Jerome are separate with their veterancy, if Jerome is in the Mantis then it'll only show the Mantis's veterancy, Jerome inside has his own separate veterancy level. Unlike the normal spartan hijacking, who can get to veterancy 6, the Command Mantis can only be at 3 and Jerome himself can only be at 3.

  Does the Vet on the Jerome affect the Mantis Missles? Or is this unknown?

  @@Indeficiency I may be wrong, but I'm fairly sure they're separate. If Jerome has 3 stars in the Mantis that has 1 star, the missiles that come out of the mantis will be at vet 1 power.
