thats how to clean a new machine. in the real world, a lot more involved.
OMG, how many hours have I wasted pulling all of the water side apart and cleaning it by hand with a good cleaner and brushes. Removing the top and scrubbing the evaps with cleaners and brushes. inspecting the check valve for wear. I cleaned everything by hand, THEN used the Hoshi acid cleaner, then the sanitizer. Don't use Hoshi cleaner on different brand machines unless you enjoy replacing the evaporator. Maybe not so bad if the owners used good quality water, the appropriate filters and did this weekly. LOL nahhhh. Hoshi is my favorite ice machine for ice and to work on. I like the spiral bound service books too. If I remember correctly color coded by refrigerant . I saw Hoshis working when they shouldn't have but they were cranking out ice.
Just bought 2 2 door coolers and 1 1 door freezer and all three are broken within 6 months

You know that the average kid working at a pizza store will cover that top in pizza boxes. Is Hoshizaki making these in Peachtree yet, or are they still coming from China?
Well, that's good because we Engineered it so they can stack boxes on top of the cabinet without any issues! It also has a stainless steel top - so it's really durable/easy to clean. Our Steelheart Series refrigeration models (and former Commercial Series models) are all made in Griffin, GA in a 400k sqft manufacturing facility. Our Sushi Cases do come from Japan. We do not have any refrigeration that comes from China.

My Hoshizaki ice machine suddenly has problem. The ice pieces are connected to each other and form a whole big piece of ice pad. Do you have any ice what's wrong with it? It's only 2 year old
Sorry for the delay. Ice bridging usually occurs due to a restriction in water flow. So first replace water filters (replace every 6 months), clean water inlet screen, clean spray tubes. Depending on the water conditions in your area you may need to do this preventative maintenance more frequently than outlined in the model's instruction manual (www.hoshizakiamerica.com/manuals). If those do not fix your issue call our Tech Support with your model and serial number at 1-800-233-1940. They can help diagnose most issues over the phone.
