I don't think I could function in that kind of heat, 😰. How long did u ride for?
Haha it's definitely a test of endurance. That was the end of about 3 hrs of riding.
@@averagemoto Dude that is WILD, I want to get to that level of fitness.
I'm sure you can😃🚀
This is got me pumped for the weekend💪🏻 Love that fly by!
🚀
Can ya upload some helmet cam footage on the 450? Love these videos
😎 80s🤘
😃
Nice riding! I just got myself a 2018 SDGT and also noticed that the front end gets too light with less fuel in the tank.. my solution was to raise the forks to 3 lines showing on the tubes and also adding rear preload (rider+luggage), give it a try!
Hey thanks for commenting! Might have to give that a try. I guess we are a bit spoiled with the extra weight provided from the 6.1 gallon tank that makes the front end feel so planted haha.
Good on ya! Let them ride their ride.
Wow! This was a lot of useful info crammed into a 1 take. Thank you for making this video, I enjoyed watching. I was a bit on the fence deciding between the XCF and EXC-F but it sounds like the EXC-F is more suited for the type of slow trail riding I do. I'll have to come back to this once I get my new bike🙂. Can't wait
@@Red-fp4wl Hey thanks for stopping by. I think you're making the right choice. The EXC-F will be far more comfortable and enjoyable to ride on such trails. Enjoy the new bike🛵🏍🚀
Thanks for commenting😃

Thank you for making this video and taking the time to explain things. You basically answered a question I was going to ask about running bar risers. I like these types of videos, straight to the point and informational. Keep em coming 👍🏻
Glad I could help! Thanks for always commenting and riding along, I really appreciate it. Let me know if I can answer any other questions. 🛵🏍🚀

Buddy probably thought a Nascar was on his tail lmao 🗿
Lol, nothing like the crossplane rumble🛵🏍🚀
😂 the guy in front was going so slow I thought he was a deer in the road at first 🤣
Haha, he did a good job of blending in like one that's for sure 😅

😎 Thank you! 🍊🚀
@@averagemoto You’re welcome. I have spinal issues now which led to a situation where I’ll never ride/race again…..so ride HARD and SMART and cherish every time you can throw a leg over that bike. LIVE your best and rest assured you’re making some incredible memories that’ll last forever!
Really sorry to hear that. I couldn't imagine life without unrestricted mobility or the ability to be on two wheels. Our time here is limited, but I'm glad you were able to enjoy it not long ago. I will definitely keep your words in mind.
So who cares if you wheelie.i love it bro.gteat form there.!
Thanks! 🛵🏍🚀
Moto I've been waiting for some dirtbike videos from you since the vote lol. Any helmet cam footage? I'd love to watch.
Haha It's all in the works. I've been waiting to get a new helmet cam so the footage won't be so shaky. I'll try to upload a walk around of the bike since I've added a few parts.
@@averagemoto😅 okay fine I guess I'll keep waiting then lol
Hell ya brother!!! Give er all shes got!🚀 👍🏻👍🏻
I think I may have been on a ride with you last year. This looks too familiar
Hey, yeah definitely possible. What bike were you riding?
@@averagemoto 2018 super duke r and i think there was another super duke out with us too along with a R6 and a Zx6r. You said your name was Moto. Makes sense now
Oh okay yeah I remember, the Super Duke with the dual austin racing exhaust right?
That was a nice day.
@@averagemoto yes that’s it and yes it was a nice ride. Nice to stumble on to your channel. Very cool. Nice vids
Its good to know that they are either on par with the gt 2's or exceed the performance of the pirelli's. i bought a new rear, and it's on the way, but i was worried i wouldn't find anything close to the angel gt 2s. Thank you for the video, man. i appreciate it. Ride safe out there brother 🤙
Hey thanks for commenting, I'm glad this video was able to help. After testing these tires in temperatures as low as 30°f and up to 100°f, I have zero complaints. They handle well, and provide plenty of grip when on the throttle at lean and in wet conditions. I think you will be happy with your decision. Stay safe 🛵🏍🚀
@averagemoto I was definitely on the fence with this brand as a hole since no one I know had ever had a set of them, but after seeing a few reviews and seeing you on your bike hit up the twisty's like that I was like yep that's the tire for me, since your on the Duke and your not having any issues my MT09 should have no issues commuting to work and hitting up the twisty's on the weekends 😀 🏍💨
Haha I completely understand. Hope you're able to get a lot of fun miles out of them! Miss commuting on my FZ-09. Stay safe out there and try to keep both wheels down 😈
@@averagemoto haha thanks man, I'll definitely try 😅😈
I drove over a speed hump in an area like this. No paint or anything. Scared the shit outa me. Car was fine though.
well done grasshopper
😅 Safety 1st 🛵🏍🚀
Thank you for not just leaving it there..if it was me I would have probably been daydreaming and crashed wondereding what happned 😂
Haha that's exactly what I didn't want to happen to someone else. Stay safe 🛵🏍🚀
probably would have caused a face plant💀
Hey anythings possible. Another reason to always have full gear on 🚲🛵🏍🚀
🤕
Would he of done this if he wasn’t videoing taping this lol
Hmm don't see why not. Leaving it there would have been pretty selfish huh?🙃⚠️
🤣 that would be totally messed up if he didn't
Lol yeah. A few seconds after I got back on the bike a Harley rider wearing an open face helmet, tank top, shorts, and sandles zipped past going uphill. Wonder how that would have ended...
@@averagemoto Possible Darwin Award recipient if you ask me
@@Mr.C-cn6kw lol definitely
What motorcycle is this on? A Yamaha R7? 😅 it's hard to tell the sounds of the bikes apart but I'm learning
Haha no worries, it can be hard to tell, but you were close. The onboard footage is from a Yamaha R1, which can sometimes sound very similar to the CP2 engine in the Yamaha R7 when its cruising at lower RPMs.
@@averagemotoThank you for explaining!
@@moozic7481 No problem.🚲🛵🏍🚀
The only bike that I’ve ridden that climbed as good is a 450 ! But the 500 is awesome. Huge power once powerband kicks in .
Nice! I love the sound of the 500 2-strokes.🚀
The lines are no issue. I had the same on my M9RR, and we got connected to metzeler directly. They said it's not unusual, and won't effect the performance of the tires (at least on the Metzeler M9RR). You probably know that by now, but worth mentioning.
Thats good to know, thanks for commenting. At first I was thinking it may have been a production defect caused by too thin of a layer of rubber used on the shoulder of the tire, but as you said it hasn't been an issue. How do you like the M9RRs? I've always wanted to try them on the R1 but they were always out of stock.
@averagemoto The M9RR is my favorite sporty set of tires for street riding. I can power wheelie in medium rain, they stick like glue and thanks to the harder compound, then for example Bridgestone and Michelin, they get a lot less punctures than most other sport tires. The only downsides are slightly longer warm-up times (30 seconds more than on the S22), and the more rounded profile. A rounder profile makes the tire very linear and stability is amazing, but some people like when the tire drops into a corner, in stead of gradually leaning. I've had 2 sets of M9RR's on a ZX10R and a Z1000SX. And I consider them the very best sport tire for street use in all conditions. I now have an S1000R, and I got a free set of Diablo Rosso IV for testing (I work as a tire expert at a BMW and Honda dealer). And although the Diablo Rosso IV's are fantastic. I'm over tireing. I kan never use all of the tire unless I go on track. Even with pretty speedy rides on familiar twistie roads, I still have almost a 5-6cm wide patch on each side of the front tire that never gets used. I've almost gotten to the edge on the rear. About 1cm left. That's going deep knee down's. I'm looking to try the new Roadtec 02 for my next tire. They're said to be almost as good as the M9RR, but rounder profile and not quite as fast and light.
@Roy_Godiksen Thanks for sharing your opinion and insight, it always nice to hear what a professional in industry thinks 😎🏍. I agree and will definitely have to give the M9RRs a try. I too prefer a smooth, gradual tire tip in when nearing the edges and have found that the Q3+s loose that confidence inspiring feeling after the first 1000 miles or so of leaned over riding. The M7RR was my go-to before the Q3+ (which had replaced my use of the S21 at the time). As you mentioned, the Metzeler felt more linear and kept that feeling throughout its entire life, which is something I haven't experienced with the Q3+s. I've haven't run the Rosso 4s before, but that's mainly because I like a compound that is a bit more firm to compliment the slightly lower pressures I tend to run and a bit more siping, but there stickiness from the get go is very tempting. My only complaint is the price being a bit higher here in the states when compared to a pair Bridgestones or Dunlops, but like anything, quality cost!
Hell yea! Let er rip
Long live the 500 2t!!!🤟❤
33, ♥♥ Was down there on my SDGT last week. 🚀
Nice!🟧🚀
Some of my friends came down from PA to ride 33,250, and Snowy Mountain Rd. There was a guy on GT (PA tags) that was at Foxes Pizza in Brandywine, where they stopped for lunch.

Definitely! Those whoops all throughout were brutal.
That view at thhe end looked like heaven 😍
100% worth the climb. It was really calm that morning.
may i know which road is this?
He can’t park there mate
Are you using the stock windshield? Video seemed super quiet. I just got the same bike and noise and wind from the windshield is driving me nuts haha
Yes, that is the stock windshield at max height. It's not the best but I like that it doesn't take up much visual space haha. Have you tried riding with earplugs?
@@averagemoto thanks for getting back to me! And no I never have, but I guess I will haha
@@ryanlessard1110Sure, no problem! Once you try them out you'll find it hard to ride without them. I'd recommend either some custom ones, or short reusable silicone ones.
Not the yata
They shouldn’t park there
😂
R1 is faster on the straights but the Supermoto feels faster through the corners
I loved mine. Had a 2016. Rode the hell out of it for six years and 30k miles. Never a hiccup. I miss it. I sold it to buy a new Harley. I like the Harley but miss the KTM.
Good to hear!
Is there a more comfortable seat for the GT?
There are several aftermarket seats available. I use the stock seat, but have seen some riders swap them out for thicker padded ones or even gel ones.
I got an option to get a 2021 super duke gt with 0km for 13.5k euros. Or i can get a multistrada 1260s used with that price. Which one should i get?
Unfortunately I haven't ridden a Ducati Multistrada so I can't offer much input. Is there one you are leaning more towards?
I got the ktm 1290 gt yesterday. Im so happy for the choice i made 😊
