So would u spread corn out to draw a target buck in to the corn to eat if u think he chose his living area because there’s hunters, stands , cameras 📷 feeders etc. all around him ! He’s a recluse and for two years he’s moved before dawn and after dark except he came to investigate does blowing at me and came to a mock scrape with code blue doe estrus and i grazed his brisket … I know he feels safe on this small block/ section of woods on a wetland all around him is water and no outside intrusion! Would u think if I put corn out will it make him know he’s being hunted there to and move out !

It helps to clean your arrows after you kill a deer with it. The drag from all that gunk is gonna throw your shot off. Im like 99% positive a clean arrow is going to fly better then a dirty arrow. Even just the added weight from a dirty arrow is gonna throw your shot off. Just my opinion.

Dude you did a great video BUT it's not the rest it's the shooter! You didn't see your arrow buried in the rest when you went to draw your bow because of BUCK FEVER! Plain and simple. Sorry I just had to call you out on this one.

I haven't had it happen on a shot at a deer, but it has happened to me in practice. I'm currently using a Trophy Ridge V Max rest until I get their Sync Micro Drive drop away tomorrow. I did start shooting an arrow with higher FOC, so there is extra weight in the front. But, the bristles on the 3 brushes are pretty weak in my mind. I've shot low right, and low left a few times lately and couldn't figure out why. Like 4-6 inches at 30 yards. Come to find out the arrow was settling down in the brushes on the sides of the rest. Well, I swapped out the brushes with new ones to see if that eliminated it. Nope. It started doing it again. I actually put off hunting this whole week because I don't trust it. I never had an issue with their traditional round biscuit before. But, I'm not taking the chance anymore. Going to a drop away. Thank you for doing this video.

Just an update. I switched out the Trophy Ridge V Max Whisker biscuit for the Trophy Ridge Sync Micro adjust drop away rest today. And I did some bare shaft tuning to get a bare shaft and a fletched arrow flying the same. It took about 8 shots an it's dialed in. It will take some time to get used to it. But I'm liking it very much, so far.

I believe its vital and critical that every outdoorsman/sportsman should learn to read maps. Believe it or not their may come a day when you might need to know how to, and then if/when that day comes and you didnt learn how to then.... I hate to say, but youd wish you would have learned how to read one. I figure its better for me to know and be prepared just in case i have to use map reading one day. Id rather be prepared for when/if, than to not be prepared..... and then that scenario happen and me be unprepared and wish that id had learned.

That's not what happens if the arrow drops down into the bristles if your bow and arrows are tuned correctly . Just set out your target at the same place and do the same thing . Once you pull back at full draw and the arrow is still low in the opening once you release the arrow as the arrow is moving forwards it goes back into the opening . Its your nocking point that makes the arrow fly high or low once the string starts to go forwards . If you take a drop away rest and watch it in slow motion you can see the placement of the nock is what keeps the arrow going out at the correct angle not the rest . The rest is no where near the arrow . The best way to prove this is to push the arrow back where you think is was at and shoot at your target 20 yards away and see what happens . There is no way that the bristles are going to hold the arrow down in that same angle as its leaving the bow . remember the bristles are folding forward as the arrow is moving forward and the arrow is going to take the path of least and thats the open area above the bent down bristles if your nocking point is set correctly . If you have bare shaft tested your arrows and you have your nocking point in the correct placement the bent down bristles will force the arrow back up into the opening as the arrow is being pulled back if it doesn't you need to bare shaft test your arrow flight . I have a target drop away rest on a target bow and I use the stainless steel launcher blades sizes 0.30T . Its angled so the weight of the arrow at full draw is in the correct location . You can easily push the arrow down with your finger but because of the spring it pushes the arrow back up to where you have it set to . The bristles work the same way as the spring does . If your bow is tuned properly no matter where the arrow sets before you draw it back once you are at full draw the arrow should move to the angle you have it set at . If it doesn't your bow is not tuned correctly . As the arrow is moving forward the bristles should never come in contact with the shaft . Most good shooters that shoot this type of rest cut away the bristles that contact the fletchings as it passes through so it doesn't disturb the flight . My guess is you have not bare shaft tested the flight of your arrows and you have the nock set to fletched arrows only and you are depending on the fletching to keep the arrow going in the general direction . My guess is that if your arrow is following the path of pushed down bristles even after you are at full draw ,your nocking point is to high and needs to be lowered to force the arrow back into its original location at full draw . Have someone that knows how to bare shaft test your arrow flight and once you have your bow tuned correctly watch what happens when you bring your arrow back to full draw , even if you bury the arrow into the bristles at the start your nocking point should put the arrow where it needs to be at full draw . If you notice your bristles are wearing out ,that's a sure sign you are out of tune . Don't allow the opening of the bristles dictate the arrows flight Adjust the rest so the bottom of the bristles are just supporting the weight of the arrow at full draw . you should be able to move the arrow back and forth at full draw and not move the bristles at all just like on a 0.30t blade rest . Watch this video about bare shaft setting with a whisker biscuit . kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJ15r7tuorfagpc.html

  • @JacobSchmittDeerHuntingSchool

Most of the time they like the woods but I’ve seen them inside Walmart, hospitals, grocery stores, and people’s houses. If you’re going to hunt in Walmart I would pick the closest spot to the door that has been where I’ve seen them enter the stores. LOL!!! Now that’s something to LOL ABOUT!!! Now all that said I’ve only seen it on the news you know how the news is the deer might have came through the brick wall so if you don’t kill one in Walmart don’t blame it on me. LOL!!!
