  When I first heard this song I was laying on my bed resting and about to go into a deep sleep. This song came on and when Ms. Nesby started singing my eyes opened, and I had SIT UP on the edge of the bed and get closer to the radio. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! Her vocals are amazing! This is one of the most soul stirring and heartfelt R&B songs ever recorded. This live version is stupendous! Still one of my favorite songs today. Ann Nesby is very underrated.

  Loss him after 43 yrs marriage. Died in his sleep in 2020. We put it on paper. I was 20, he was 24. Now, years later with 2 boys, 4 grand kids and 1 great grand, I love him more now than ever even tho he's not here. My first love, and forever love 💔

  I bought her CD because of this song. Always had to listen to it at least twice before listening to the other tracks. I love that she's done several plays. I wish we could get a new Album. I don't listen to the radio anymore because there are very few real singers now days.

  Chills for me with the 1st note! My friend & her brother's mother died in a house fire when we were about 20! They had a lady soloist sing (OMG) this at her funeral & there wasn't a dry eye in the service! One of the saddest, but most elegant services I've attended 30+ years later! Even the funeral director spoke very highly of their (the deceased, children) integrity while laiding their beautiful mother to rest! ✨️🙏🏽👸🏾
