Top work, would highly recommend!
Done this yesterday had small mushrooms growing under the boot carpet
These Focus's can also leak from the roof seam sealer cracking. The water ends up in the same place if its near the hatch. Take the turret moulds off and poor some water over the sealer and see if you get drips into the hatch area.
Mk 7 Golf and Audi A3,same problems with vents
Could this cause the drivers side rear and front footwell to be soaking. Mine isn't an ST though. Thank you
This could be where the water is coming in from and a good sign will be the mold building up in the boot on each side. If there is too much water, it can fill up the spare wheel area and overflow into the foot wells. However, water can also get in from the roof seals or rear tail lamps, so I would also take a look at them.
Well done!
Looking much better
Can driving through small floods cause this leak?
This is good, keep it up
👍🏽
Can't believe Food hasn't sorted this out throughout its range, should be screwed to the floor in court, absolute disgrace . And it continues !!!
Its actually nice to see someone dry the foam inserts and fit them back behind the vents, just the way i do it and what ford intended. Most people throw them away.
I don't see someone putting the cleaned foams back ;)
Why not leave the drain plugs out
Water would be able to get in through the drain plug holes if left open, as would insects and vermin.
You could leave them off, but I won't advise this as the drain plugs are located behind the back wheels, so when driving, they will flick a lot of water and dirt into that area.
The genius's at Ford made the drain plug in the highest part of that area, so it'll still collect water.
Where in the UK are you based?
London.
what are the vents for anyways?
They are for releasing air pressure in the cabin.
Cdnt we just open window a crack?
@@bluegreenworld333 When you close the doors. Every car has them
