Don Knotts 'nervous man' originated on Steve Allen's original tonight show and was the foundation of Barney Fife and just about every comic character he did.

Looks like a clip from the Steve Allen Show, circa 1960. Don Knotts was a member of the program's ensemble company responsible for many memorable comic interludes, in particular the "Man in the Street" sketches. He was a versatile performer and by all accounts much loved by his peers.

That’s why u don’t give a dame, u focus and work real hard on u, and u give ur self the high up most self respect to never go looking for love, love will come find u! I’m speaking from a lot of heartbreaks I had in my life time, trust me. Being alone and in love with ur self only needing god is actually peaceful and soothing cuz no body can cheat on u, rob ur bank savings money, play with ur heart, lie to u, abuse u, cook him dinner, clean for him, do laundry, etc. it’s all about u, ur family and parents, pets, and if u have any “real friend(s)” now a days then consider ur self lucky! 💯

This is depressing. And no, love will not find you. Love is something you must do, not feel. Love is a choice. You can chose to love somebody or not. Now if as as a woman you play the wife role without being married, that's on you. Don't sleep with men before marriage. Only cook and clean for your husband and your family, not for some random guy you just met. And do not expect the man to be perfect as in the movies, because no man is perfect. They all have flaws, so do you. Stop centering your life on yourself and loving yourself and start showing love and care to others. If you go into that mindset of me, myself and I, then no marriage will go well. It is toxic. People already live themselves too much nowadays. Better start telling them to love and sacrifice for others. Chastity and abstinence is a good thing.

Thank goodness whoever drew that map didn't have to include the state borders! That's about the worst "map" of the USA I've ever seen lol. Goes along nicely with the routine. The way he could pitch his voice into pure panic was just amazing! He was a master of facial expression too, which was something he didn't really master until he was older, which just goes to show he was always working, always improving his craft.

I'm old enough to remember the 15 or 30 minute newscasts. News. Weather. Sports. And we had 2 daily papers, morning and afternoon. The flow of truly important information was actually much better then!
