  How you doing so much damage in chain attacks? I'm struggling with Mobius d and j and you're just like insta killing them

  DJ1 and DJ2 are different strats. For DJ1 (ch 4 at the annihilator), the main piece of tech is shared blessing in Eunies soul tree that is then linked to Taion and going into the ourobourous completer with 3 buffs on the full team make sthat hit very hard. Otherwise its about FMJ damage with the hard hitting fusions and routing the chain order to pick up 3X Amazing to get as much % by then end as possible. DJ2 (at cloudkeep) is a different strat, its all about that massive smash. Its a complex chain but its about getting around 400% and a power charge buff on Taion as ge goes for the smash. Fiona is using resonant flag to share the Glorius Wing (Noah ouroborous) power charge to Taion on demand. Some care has to be taken to acutally have fiona available before Taions smash. Theres a pretty complex descision tree in the speedrun notes for this. For D+J (where they are seperate) one shot, its the very overpowered shackle ring strat where Noahs FL7 does approx 3X its usual damage just by equipping that accessory and build all 5 arts into FL7 in a cancel chain (the bonus of that particular accesory). The reduce all buff is also on the boss amongst other damage maxing setup on Noah.

  Easily one of my favorite games of all times. Would have been cool to see a real remake of it, and like a real remake, keep everythign the same, as it was, just updated when comes to engine, graphics and so on. And keep the music just as it is! :3

  They are invisible due to the ghosting glitch. Atreides just needs to repair any unit and have carryall drop them back and your invisible.

  Or, you dont know what your talking about and have never checked the game options or done any research. The speed limiter option unchecked caps at a flat run speed independent of CPU. It is simply a game speed option. It is not open ended speed from modern hardware. Discussed with other current runners and is cross approved on speedrun.com

  I see that you select the units one by one, with tab, you can alternate between the units the screen is showing to you, I used that a lot of times to do attack in groups, pressint tab + m + click, and I didn't need to move the mouse. (At least that was available in the version I play when I was young)

  I think since the win condition is to collect 1000 credits, but you start out with 1000 credits, the game must not be checking the win condition at the start, but only starts checking after 2 minutes. Turns out the quickest way to have 1000 credits at 2 minutes is to not buy anything and just sit on the money.

  @@ShadowKayvaan I read somewhere later on that there's an issue with the turrent that if you approach it from the side (or some angle) with a rocket launcher it'll be just out of reach, but if you attack it from the top or bottom, it'll get you.

  Level 1 - I have to build and harvest because the spice count rolls back to 999 Level 2 - Simply building 3 refineries is just as fast, if not faster. Maybe less fun though.

  Since I am unable to reproduce the invisibility trick, could it be that the glitch got fixed in the 1.07 version?

  Definately works in 1.07. Are you playing as Harkonnen? If so you need to save scum until your units are dropped in the fog of war. You also need to trigger discovery beforehand, but that can usually be done with a sandworm.

  @@rattus1285 Yes, I do play as Harkonnen. I suppose discovery is a flag that is set once I have view of the enemy base, or how is it defined? Also, can you explain what "save scum" means? And how is Harkonnen different in that regard from the other houses? Thanks so much.

  @@rx7here save scum just means you keep loading a save until you get the result you want. In this case its a carryall dropping a launcher into the fog of war. Harkonnen is different glitch to Atreides. Atreides get invisibilty on all repaired units while harkonnen needs the fog drop.

  @@boreopithecus The mission is to gather 1000 spice but you already start out with 1000. The trigger check doesn't kick in until the 2 minute mark. I didn't know this either but apparently waiting for 2 minutes is simply faster to win.

  it's funny that on most levels your credits is deducted by 1 at the start. But not on level 1, allowing the no-action win.

  Ultima 8 is what got me into RPG. Even though I see now that it really isn't one. When I was a kid I didn't notice the flaws, but I've played through this game several time. Why hasn't there been mods, updates to the game? Let me guess EA.

  Pentigram is a 3rd party remake with mods like higher res and click to move. You should check it out. The big update would have been the cancelled expansion pack

  @@rattus1285 I haven't looked into Pentagram for years, since 2014. I figured it was abandoned. I could never figure out how to run it. I just downloaded ScummVM and installed the game. It runs better than playing on legacy systems. Is Pentagram still a thing then, is it a separate download?
