    I find it so dumb that black and white button are not useable. I mean, this controller is meant to be the OG duke, and i want to experience it how it was on release. Adding 2 additionnal buttons on the back was a nice idea, but making them your only option to play the games is literally stupid, especially for the price (50 bucks for a controller that is 20 years old, nearly as much as a Xbox serie or Dualsense controller). Idk ... It is supposed to be for Xbox fans, but at the same time you cannot play it how it was intended at release ? They add buttons, but instead of making them extra they make them mandatory ?? Only wired, and 50 bucks. To me it is not worth the investment.

    I have a psp 3000 and purchased it 2nd hand. It played fine for the first 15min, it's battery drained fairly fast as I assumed it was not the original battery. I put it on charge and the orange light flashed. After some fiddling it's went solid again. A few hours later came to check and the orange light was off. Assuming it was charged I unplugged it and tried to power it on. With no luck. It only powered on with charger connected. Once on it would flicker the battery icon and date / time icon. Not sure what's going on. Went to a local game store and they has a psp battery plugged it in and waited but it did not show the orange light. Left the psp at the store as they said it takes along time to charge. So basically is my psp dead or does a replacement battery take along time to charge.

    Hi, I’ve been running into this same issue which is fixed by clearing the HDD cache but unfortunately appears to return after the disk is removed and reinserted into the console. Do you have any suggestions as to what might fix this issue or should I just live with having to reset cache every time I would like to play Terraria?

    i can’t get mine to work and i’m not sure why. i picked up the pikachu special edition console from a cex, got the power pack and the rf modulator that comes with it. pikachu powers up but no matter what channel we put it on it doesn’t work. follow the manual too and even on what’s supposed to be the correct channel, nothing happens. same blue screen as before, theres also no noise coming from the console? ik i wont hear any game noises until it’s properly on but id expect to hear some sort of mechanical whirring?? i’m at a loss honestly. it should work as we plugged it into the av slot and the tv should have a direct feed

    Try cleaning your game cartridges! 90% of the time that is the issue. We have a video going over how to do it, but it's just 91% alcohol, a Q-tip, and rubbing down the board contacts. The N64 is pretty dang quiet, no real whirring or noise will be audible from it. Might also be good to check under the little panel at the front and make sure there is a jumper pak inserted because if there isn't, the console will power on but not operate.

    I purchased a cheap ps4 controller from Amazon, can’t even find a brand name on it. In my opinion you are much better off to pay for the expensive factory controller or a legitimate option. Knock off controllers have extremely poor batteries and the actual controls respond poorly. ( don’t even attempt to online play). Save up and buy an authentic one.

    I thought that people blowing into their NES cartridges was a thing we outgrew in the 1980's, but in case your customers haven't all been convinced... for pete's sake, can you please stop blowing into the cartridge connectors? I'm going nuts every time you're doing that! - Yes people grew up doing that, but speaking as a retro/vintage gamer AND as game store repair guy, I promise you that Nintendo's old cartridge systems are pretty much rock-solid, and as long as you NEVER BLOW ONTO THE CARTRIDGE CONNECTORS, and instead use swabs and alcohol/window cleaner, you'll rarely if ever have problems with the carts. If there's tons of build-up of green on the connectors, like you got the game at a pawnshop or flea-market and it's been ages since it's been clean, you might try using a pencil-eraser to rub off the corrosion (open the cart with a security-bit if needed to make doing the overhaul easier), but basically if the cartridge connectors are clean and shiny, and the console's connectors are in good shape and clean too, then everything should be making good contact, and you should have no playback problems. ------ Blowing on the cartridge gets the moisture from your breath (like a toaster in the bathtub) gets a temporary electrical (communication) connection going, BUT it dries and starts to corrode the connections. And if you keep blowing, the corrosion gets worse, and you're in a downward cycle of making the corrosion get worse and worse and eventually the cartridge won't work anymore, and what's worse is that the corrosion gets from the cartridge connectors and into the console itself AND then from there it gets onto the other cartridges. It spreads. --- Eventually you'll have problems with all of your games and consoles, and you may have to overhaul your entire collection and clean EVERYTHING out, and the consoles too, and clean each cart every time before you insert it into your consoles to make sure there's no more corrosion ever. --- I had to do that once when I began collecting... I was buying "broken" consoles and the nastiest cheapest Nintendo cartridges from pawnshops and flea-markets... at the time, I was re-building the collection I had lost, and after EVERYTHING was clean, EVERY cart was having perfect shiny connectors, I never had any problems again, everything worked. ------ SO DO NOT BLOW, CLEAN THE CARTS PROPERLY AND KEEP THEM CLEAN! --- even Nintendo's customer service told me a moist alcohol swab (not dripping wet) will keep them maintained, small amount is all you need. - Hope this helps keep your games working. I built up a collection, and out of HUNDREDS, I only had one cart that refused to work... took it apart, and a few of the connections had literally corroded away and no longer existed. - STOP BLOWING, thank you

    Hi do you know if these consoles are region free?

  • @NostalgicVideoGamesArcade
    @NostalgicVideoGamesArcadeАй бұрын

    The RetroN 5 is the only one that has a dedicated Famicom slot since those cartridges are significantly different than the NES ones. The SNES slots do fit the Super Famicom cartridges since they don't have the plastic tabs that prevent them from being inserted like on an OEM SNES. The RetroN 5 is the best for other region games tho since it has the option to load Language Patches on the SD card.

    Should be alright! Don't worry. Trust me, when I was young and stupid I used to use NAIL POLISH AHHH that stuff is way worse for the pins with lots of water and acetone is a NO NO as that'll just destroy stuff if left on too long. But despite my naivety, all my games I used it on still work. As long as you wiped them down with the dry end of a Q-tip there really shouldn't be any problems. It's more of an over-time type thing, if you use it over and over again it can start to slowly rust/oxidize the pins.

    That's the wrong cable :( Those are super standard AV->AV cables, most VHS/DVD players, as well as NES consoles, used cables like that. Unfortunately the N64 has a proprietary cable that is shared with the SNES and GameCube, so you'll have to purchase a new video cable.

    ALWAYS the preferred option! If I didn't mention that in the video that is TOTALLY on me LOL!! A lot of customers at the store I have found always go with the Wireless adapter, since most don't have their router/modem close enough to the console or, if you're like me, live in a house that doesn't have Cat5/Cat6 cable run through the walls. OOF

  • @PatrickHoffer
    @PatrickHofferАй бұрын

    @@NostalgicVideoGamesArcadeyea, just found it odd you didn’t mention it. Honestly for that you can always get a wireless bridge or turn a wireless router to bridge mode. Then you could get WiFi 5/6 etc speeds without running cable through your house. Although definitely beyond the scope of this video but might be a good future video for 7th gen console owners!
