  These calves have been cruelly separated from their mothers, & now are being machine-fed while their moms are being machine-milked. Fucked up system. DRINK PLANT BASED MILK and GO VEGAN! ! !

  for me this kind of treatment is only because of money and to feed the humans. i mean it's our right to survive and living.But we have to be aware what we are doing.to think this is soooo cute...no it's not cute..it's pretty rude,nothing else.of course they can survive,nature always have a second plan if the first one failed.But the first is also the best.

  we are just beginning this new way,and of course it's not everywhere,but i'm very proud.look it's only a few years ago i began to think this practice is kind of weird.everyone is shocked if you do that to a mother(dog,cat,horse,bird,rabbit..) but cow ..noones really cares about..why? the cow ,don't she like to lick her baby,don't you think she cares about? she wants to protect it against danger? all that stuff mothers do for her kids..our cows are pretty agressiv if they have a calf beside.

  of course they do because there is no mother around ..so...But i'm still absolutely sure this isn't "normal".Or would you take off the mother of a puppy or a kitten? It's just about money. In Switzerland we go more and more back to the roots and let the calfs where they belong... imho the only right way.The cow is for sure looking for her calf too,if you think she dosen't catch the loss ... you are wrong.We don't have the right to do that.we have a lack of respect against weaker beings.

  this does not work do not be decieved iam having complaints from people i have dehorned 50 calves with it and ended up having to do 42 of them again with the conventional dehorner

  @richardpm38..yes cattle with horns tend to bully those without when in cattle sheds all winter,, I have just bought one of these and this is a first for me.. I reckon that this will be far kinder to the calves than other methods .. I will be using andrenaline lignocaine pain killer on the calves..just like the dentsist

  @dappledbaybeauty the horns are removed for safety purposes, if you leave them to grow, they use them as weapons against each other and also horns get caught up in feed barriers , and can cause damage to the calves head..so they are better removed.
