I had some nodules removed from my cervix & the gynaecologist told me it would be only a pinch. I was in so much pain I vomited in a bucket the doctor gave me! I have a high pain tolerance. Wish I had seen this video back then!

I am disgusted at the cruelty of the medical profession. They always say it's not necessary, it's just a scratch, "a baby's head can fit in there!" & various other insults, many from men. Don't accept their shit!!!

Felt all this in my 40s and my period stopped at 44.5 years old. Now in my 50s, have mild symptoms but years of HRT and now managing with nutrient dense eating, healthy lifestyle and exercise. HRT needs to be covered by insurance companies 👍🏼

Thanks Dr. Haver! I am listeningbto your book on audible and am loving it! I put on my third estrodial patch last night and am so thankful I have watched many of your videos and had talking points for my gynecologist visits! I gave you a couple of shout outs on my Anchor Moments channel and am sharing with my viewers my new journey taking HRT along with my type 2 diabetes medication, Mounjaro. I am hoping my results will be like the post menopausal women in the small study of taking semaglutide and HRT. I will also be happy having my hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, and vaginal dryness/atrophy go away! Thanks for giving me hope! ❤

My first iud they have me painkillers and used a numbing gel. While uncomfortable, it was bearable. After i had my son i got another iud 3 months post partum and only got given some painkillers. It was so painful i yelled twice and felt like throwing up. I don't know why they didn't use the numbing cream. I went home feeling like i had been violated and trying to match up the horrible experience we go through with doctors saying it's "normal". It's not good enough

This is a helpful insight! Really appreciate the comment about statins. I take fish oil, cut down flour products and exercise and that helps, but it's always elevated and my PCP has suggested statins.

With the attitude towards pain management in today's medicine, a Dr would be less ostracized if they suggested managing pain with leeches than actual pain meds.

One thing i have never understood with female gynos who are trained to not give pain management for procedures is dont you undergo those procedures yourself sometimes?? How do you not know that it can hurt? I always feel so betrayed by my female doctors in that way

One time the infertility doctor tested my tubes for blockage and she injected blue ink on my ovaries and fallopian tubes, she said it will not hurt. She did not use pain control meds and let me tell you, it was horrible, the worst cramp that I ever felt. 2 nurses have to hold me down because I was screaming in pain.

Getting an I UD in felt like medival torture so I told them to stop. I’ve suffered through 20 years of heavy bleeding and fibroids to without any proper treatment. Don’t think health care in Canada 🇨🇦 is great. It’s free but going downhill fast.

I had this procedure done a couple of weeks ago the doctor recommended that I take pain medication before I arrived, I'm glad I did because otherwise it would have been terrible. But in all honesty they should have offered and supplied pain medication for the procedure itself. I shouldn't have to supply pain medication for something not designated for that particular prescription.

I have ALL of these. Desperation led me to you and then ultimately to a hormone clinic where I started pellet therapy with testosterone and progesterone. I feel great for about 3 weeks and then experience a full on crash in energy and emotions and I'm right back to NFLM again. I am 47, still have my period, and pretty fit for my age. I was told that I "burn" thru the pellets faster due to my low fat body index. Is this true? The pellets hurt in my butt almost the entire 3 months. I was also told that was because of my muscular build. My low libido is still tanking. Haven't experienced any incline in that area and it's hurting my marriage. Some days I wanna unalive, some days I wanna cry all day, some days I just sit and feel sorry for myself. It's a terrible feeling because I actually sought out help, paying a buttload of money, and still don't feel good...... I'm on my 2nd round of pellets and my periods are so much worse now too. Each. month they are heavier, longer, more emotionally draining and I literally become another human being than no one can be around.

I'm so stuck and miserable...I'm literally at a loss and don't know what to do. I have done what I think was right after research and listening to Dr Mary Claire and those alike. I am 47 and have terrible perimenopausal symptoms. They are scary, life changing and basically killing me slowly. I went to a hormonal clinic and started getting Progesterone Troche and testoterone pellet therapy. about 3-5 weeks with my pellets I feel great and then experience a severe crash in energy and mood. My butt hurts almost the entire 3 months I have the pellets. My periods have gotten worse with each pellet. WHAT DO I DO??? The testosterone has helped my muscle definition and gotten me geared up to hit workouts again... but the low libido is still very real and my marriage suffers terribly! I read and hear about how life changing pellets are and how they can't keep their hands off their husbands and their energy and mood are better now than in their 20s and I am experiencing NONE of that. What's wrong with me??

Now I understand why when I applied enough of a wild yam cream to cover my arms I experienced so much nausea, lightheadedness and agitation I had to lay down for a while. That taught me to keep my dosage at under 1/4 tsp so I can function. I'm 3 weeks in and no improvement in menopause symptoms. I'll continue use for 2 more months and if that doesn't work, I'm moving on to other remedies.

The first book written about the vagina, was written by a man. 💁‍♀️ Its only been within the last 20-30 years that babies are helped with pain control during procedures. The theory was "the baby won't remember the experience anyway." So barbaric.

I am very addicted to chocolate. Recently to help with the cravings I make my coffee with cocoa powder and I then measure the sugar mixed in and then add soy milk (I can’t have most dairy) and it helped me pay attention to how much sugar really is in everything. Also I had made a cake for my son with homemade icing and he told me he liked the cake but the icing made him sick. And it just hit me like why am I creating this sugar paste that is so much sugar and feeding it to my kids? So I banished powder sugar and we have been dabbling in healthier options for birthdays. One of the biggest hits is my black bean cupcakes. No one believes me that there is no flour in them! Yes there is sugar but way less than icing! All this to say is processed sugar really is deceiving and not worth it!

I'm in perimenopause. I had been on LoLo Esterin on and off for about 6 years. This past year, the mood swings became UNBEARABLE!! My GYN switched me to a new pill, Nexstellis. It's a new pill with a different type of estrogen and a much higher dose than the LoLo. It has been LIFE CHANGING! I'm calm, rarely irritable, overall just happy. I can't even remember the last time I felt this way. I'm so happy that I have a Doctor who isn't afraid to prescribe hormones. As she told me, "Estrogen is our friend."
