When I watch these movies it does remind me of the brave men and woman who fought in all wars for our great countries , both the Uk and the U.S , now I look at these country’s and wonder what the hell has happened to them , so many ungrateful intitled brats and weak leaders. Such a shame .,

It's disturbing how much Dana Andrews and Tyrone Power look like brothers, even twins. Or perhaps that was just adroit casting.

Very good film. It is only 1:45:54 h long. May be the love scenes are stretched out a little much for us modern audience. But during the war time (1943) it must have been relaxing to the audience, a temporary relief from wartime worries. The commando scene is incredibly well done, and the fire on the sea too! ... even better than 'die hard' scenes!!!! Thanks for uploading.

Studios, back in the 50's use to make a lot of adventure movies and entertained the public no end. Yes, Stewart Granger was really a distinguished British actor who had a commanding voice and presence, which he acquired from years of acting on the stage. Working with him, a co-star remarked: "He seemed detached in his approach and enjoyed underlining his independence". Besides Harry Black & The Tiger, Mr. Granger was very memorable in films such as : King Solomon's Mines, Young Bess, The Prisoner of Zenda, Scaramouche, Bhowani Junction plus dozens of others. Harry Black, shot in India, is really enjoyable, but the end, leading to the capture/killing of the tiger, is anti-climatic. Instead of a steady build-up, it happens so suddenly and is over in a jiffy. Performances by the cast, who were all professionals: Granger, Barbara Rush, Anthony Steel and I.S. Johar were all commendable.

Hollywood. So predictable. Always a beautiful woman for the main character with a romance stuffed in. For Pete’s sake it’s supposed to be a war picture but Hollywood always has to add romance all the time. At least it had morality back then compared to today’s graphic sexual scenes and guttural language. Many actors did actually serve in WW2. Kudos to them all. Still liked the movie though. Ann Baxter is very easy on the eyes.

25:22 Maxim Litvinov, before he became Russian ambassador, was USSR Foreign Minister. April 1939 he made a formal proposal to the British ambassador for a triple pact of collective security between Britain, France and the USSR. The USSR wanted to forge an anti-Nazi Germany alliance which would have prevented WW2, but both Britain and France were not supportive of Litvinov’s proposal.
