The Apocalyptic Knight

The Apocalyptic Knight

A Post Apocalyptic Chivalry!

Knowledge, Fighting, Free Thinking, Homesteading.

For a World that is Brighter, one Way or the other!

A student said to his master:
"You teach me fighting, but you talk about peace. How do you reconcile the two?"
The master replied:
"It is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war."

"You should trust Doctors. They are a profession that always thinks about how to fix your problems and never how to prolong your suffering so they can make money off of you." Best disclaimer I've ever heard haha.

Auger is a cool idea, but looking at the design it isn't nearly substantial enough to hold up to the kind of abuse it will need to take to be used for long. That weld will absolutely fail, probably within a few days of hard use. I doubt it's hardened properly for this kind of work so it will be dull after 5 or 10 holes, you'd be better off just buying an m35 steel woodworking auger & a handle for it. Forget the peg cutter. A chisel would work to cut joints. Requires more skill to cut the joints, but a good one will be properly hardened, made of quality controlled steel, easy to sharpen, and will hold up to abuse. Square insertion joints also resist rotation, something round peg joints usually need glue, a set screw, or very tight fit to solve. I'll never understand why people carry 3000grams of ax & shovel then try to cut 300grams on their sleeping pad at a massive cost to sleep comfort. Other than lack of water & food, nothing will harm performance more than sleep deprivation. I've been out in the field under sleep dep conditions with my fellow grunts & EVERYONE starts making mistakes. If you're out there by yourself with no supply lines, you can't afford the kinds of mistakes sleep dep will absolutely cause you to make. Get a nice inflatable sleeping pad and put it on top of the foamy. Carry a patch kit. Yes the the inflatable will spring leaks & fail but the weight is absolutely worth it to wake up in the morning not feeling like you've been hit by a truck. I'd pack 5x the weight of a NeoAir to get the improved sleep it provides. There is no question about this, even if you think you're the hardest guy ever and I've known some toughguys, trash sleep will erode your performance quickly.

I really appreciate the ideas. I haven't seen any first aid kit with pincers, pliers, or something to stitch you up. However, splinters and ticks can be a real problem without adequate tools. The same goes for broken nails and dead flesh (my worst experience was running my feet bloody and them getting fused with my socks). Another item I rarely see mentioned in first aid kits are anti-inflammatory creams, which can really do wonders and prevent a nuisance from becoming a huge pain in the A... (at times even literally). Similarly, everyone tells you to _bring a light,_ but hardly anyone ever discusses the drawbacks of a flashlight. I know from when we had a power outage how useful a small lantern can be compared to having to run around with one hand constantly occupied... Obviously, you can also consider headlights, but lanterns are for many applications more practical...

Would you believe it? Quite a few of these items can get you into legal trouble in some places in Europe! Even in Austria, and even in the forest, you can't just run around with large blades anymore! Yes, it's utter lunacy! I've never been camping myself, as my parents had not a single good experience with camping. They tried it in Italy and France and both times, they had faced criminals! In one case, their tent was slit with a knife, while they were inside! That was already during the 1970s and things haven't gotten any better in Europe, and that's putting it mildly! All that said, I can think of three items that would also make sense for camping: 1) suncream, especially since you're likely a lot out in the sun 2) bug spray, or whatever you found useful to repell these #### 3) a shemagh, or something similar. They can be really used for anything: a towel, a scarf, an improvised hat, a pillow, etc. I've even used them as makeshift curtains on multiple occasions. For camping, you might even want to consider a larger tarp to block wind, rain, reflect heat, etc.

I'm really excited that you are fighting this battle Apocalyptic Knight. I want to share with you a link to a therapy that might be of some use to you. It is a great meditative opportunity. It is also low cost. Relatively. I'll also be sure to add your efforts in advancing this aspect of the field of medicine to my prayer group at Church. May God Bless your endeavour.

Your right lips are pulled upward as you speak,Your left shoulder is higher than the left one. This indicates, your right side of the top of head is tight, pulling your right jaw joint and pulling your whole right side of body. At the same time, the tightness pulling your left side like spiralling down to your toes. The cause of problem needs to be corrected, otherwise the whole compression will progress gradually as you age.

Will follow your journey. As an old martial artist and conrete worker I suffered back problems all the time. Then one day I got hit by a heave construction form square in my back. I was out of work for a month. The doctor that looked at my x-ray said that there was no permanent damage but I have severe arthritis in my back. I thought to my self 'tell me something I don't know'. But to my surprise when I recovered my back pain and problems went away. Years of suffering gone. Not say my back is like new at all. It's will still tell me don't do that or else. My conclusion in my research is I got a chiropractor realignment from something heavy hitting my back. A good holistic chiropractor might be the answer.

Muscovey ducks are very easy to domesticate, and can be super friendly. Apart from being excellent for eating their eggs are super great for baking and eating. The eggs are rich and superb for making sponges. There is no need to separate the whites from the yoke, simply add the sugar and whip away until thick then do the normal sponge.

I’m not sure what is wrong with my thumb nail. It’s is extremely painful if I bump it against something but there is no visible fungus or trauma of any kind. It also sometimes aches so bad for no reason just for a few seconds but it’s very intense. Does anyone think this treatment could help me? I know no one here is a doctor and I won’t hold anyone responsible for any suggestions they might try if they were me.
