Welcome to the KZread channel for 101 Acres Leather. I am a (very) small leather maker in rural Western Pennsylvania, USA. I love leather work, learning and trying new things and seeing the success of my projects. In my channel I will be posting some videos of my work and projects.

I really like those colors together!
hola, una pregunta, que tipo de remache ocupaste, y donde se pueden conseguir, yo solo eh visto de cobre.
Fascinating
What type of rivet cutter are you using? It seemed it may be a compound cutter type and appeared to sheer the rivets pretty easily. What size rivets were you using? I’m using a farriers nipper to cut #9 rivets.
Trabalho muito bom eu estou aprendendo muito só em ver certo hoje em dia só não aprende aquele que é parasita
We just got this same machine and love it. I am having trouble with stitching 90 degree corners. My top thread seems to stitch across corner at an angle. Do you have any hints.
What size are your red leather hides in Sq Ft. And how many red leather hides do you have?
Nice work,, inspirational. Voice overs are convenient but for builds like this the work flow is perfect. It’s all about efficiency.
Very cool! Were do you get your rivets from? I have trouble finding anything but copper. Love this walet.
You can get them from Tandy, Buckleguy or other places, just search for brass rivets and you'll find a bunch of places that sell them. You can also use Chicago screws instead of rivets.
Yes please......Order-Up!?
You can find them on the website.
Hola, de qué espesor es el cuero? Lindo trabajo!
Normally 3 to 4 oz.
So nice.
Хрень какая-то бесполезная... но из кожи!!!
What weight leater did you use
Normally 3-4 oz.
Great video. Mind sharing why you prefer sewing machine over fork?
It's just a matter of time/cost/price. Using the machine is fast and the stitches (and glue) hold very well. If you are making a special wallet or want to highlight the stitching you can easily hand sew the wallet with some really nice thread.
Thanks for the dryer tip... Just want to know, u won't give dye dry off time before?
No, I will dye it and condition/hot stuff it all at the same time. That keeps the leather from getting stiff after dying and drying.
Wonderful piece of work buddy! Keep videos coming!
Impresionante ver la destreza que se alcanza cuando se es un maestro. Usted posee una habilidad que trasciende en el tiempo. Un gusto ver su vídeo. Saludos cordiales y bendiciones para usted.
That was a useless second snap
It’s a belt loop so you can put it on without having to take the belt off.
@@chetton93 Yes, some people have used it for that. It also holds the leather tight on the back so you can store some bills in there. Without it you need to make sure the wallet is full to keep the bills tight.
glad to see a fellow Pa resident doing amazing things
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Hermoso trabajo maestro!! El cuero de atrás es para colocarlo por el cinto?
Thank you. The leather on the back can hold paper money. Yes, I have had one person connect it to a belt.
Супер!!!
Beautiful
Классный карт холдер получился👍👍👍😊
Thank you.
You don't talk in all your videos or just this one?
It’s just a matter of time. I don’t have time to script them all out and talk. For now I’m showing the builds but not talking or explaining.
Never in a million years would i have guessed shaving cream could be used in leather work. The sheath looks great 👍
Thanks!
I really like this. What weight of leather do you use please?
I’ve tried a ton of different weights and leathers. Most of the wallets I make of this design are 3-4oz Hermann Oak. The thickness and temper of the leather work very well for the wallet. The turquoise one is Italian leather and that is 4-5oz but the leather is a lighter temper. So somewhere around that weight.
This looks fabulous. What is the skiving tool you use please
For this wallet I do not skive the edges because it would make them too thin. There is a max of three layers but mostly there are only two layers in the thickness. Because of the design the bulk of the wallet thickness is because of the cards that are put into it.
Beleza
I tried using ketchup but it didn’t work. Probably should have used mustard.
How foolish of you
I tried many things. This brand is the best!
YES..GRANDMA MIRTA DONT TELL HER ABOUT HER PAN😂GREAT JOB!!👍
Mustard bottle! I got scared when you started using it. :)
It is the “special sauce” for all of my recipes!
Why the slot punched in the strap?
Part for looks and part to make the bend in the leather easier/more natural.
Part for looks, part to make the strap bend a bit easier/be less stiff.
very nicely designed. I like it.
I need this... 😍
They are available :-)
Shaving cream that's kind of cool hope to see some more videos from ya !
Thanks! I like doing the vids I just have to find/make the time.
It would be better to put your Etsy link to this video description.
It is available on my KZread home page along with my website link. I will consider adding it to my videos as well. I’m also looking into international shipping options from my website. I think this should be possible now with some of the recent updates.
Extremely new to leather craft. I haven't even made my first project yet. I am wondering for the dye if food color would work. Thanks so much for the videosl
I haven’t tried food color. I suspect that it might not be permanent. The dyes are fairly cheap so I’ve mostly used them. However you can use things like coffee and other substances to stain leather. There are some videos out there that show you how.
Nice and creative my friend👍👍👍
Thanks, I love learning new things.
参考にさせていただきます。 綺麗な作品ですね😀
Nice design, well made.

Hermoso trabajo, todo un Arte!
Beautiful design bro, good job👍👍👍👍👍
Clean!! Good job
Great pattern
Bonito diseño y resistente de por vida👍👋❤🇨🇱
Gracias!
Very cool, I just earlier watched & commented on you wallet video. Again very impressive attention to conditioning your leather. Thanks. Cheers.
Thanks, I try to “Hot Stuff” all of the plain veg tan leather that I use. It helps to disperse and deepen the dye color and adds back into the leather oils and waxes that will keep it going for quite awhile.
Wow ! Awesome prep on conditioning the leather and great design. I like the mustard glue sauce, “I put that S+x# on everything “. Cheers.
Thanks! The mustard bottle was revolutionary for me.
@@101acresleather Sorry, I'm new to this world. May I ask what are you talking about? Is that bottle at the begining? And was just dyeing? Sorry for the ignorance and thanks. The end result was ridiculously professional. Amazing.
@@justoalejandrogonzalez5097 I use two types of contact cement. Water based cement is easy to work with but the solvent based cement is difficult to work with. One big problem with the solvent cement is how to best apply it to the leather. If you put the cement into the mustard bottle it is a good solution. The bottle does not react with the solvent, you can keep the glue thinned easily and it makes putting the glue onto the material very easy. The bottle at the beginning is the leather stain, the second bottle is the leather oil and the third paste is a mix of oils and waxes. I hope this helps.
@@mavrikmavrik3032 Wow. SO much to learn. Yes, it does. Much appreciated.
👍
Excellent video, the wallet color is beautiful. Do you build it for sale?
It is. In the US you can order it from my website. For global orders you would need to order it through my Etsy page.
