Thanks for the review. Klein seem to be the only ones addressing the market for techs et al that need tough, lightweight, tools that can travel and don’t take up much space. Going to give these a shot.

Klein makes a knect pass through SAE socket set that comes with a pass through ratchet and a hollow extension adapter where you can either attach it to the ratcheting impact 11 in 1, or put it into an impact
@JC_1095Ай бұрын
My main set up for a lot of jobs is the Knipex forged wire strippers, 250mm auto adjust cobras, the klein ratcheting impact 11 in 1, and the milwaukee fastback 6 in 1. I use other tools obviously, but these are the usual suspects.

The ratchet socket set would be perfect, but since they don't also do a matching metric set (and I can't seem to find sockets by themselves in metric), I won't invest in them. Likely buy the screwdriver system though. I guess this is what happens when you are entirely focused on electricians. Also, I took a look at Kleins website, and they sell quite the selection of spares, of individual parts. I wouldn't be too concerned about losing a piece.

Klein makes some decent hand tools and I have many, but these miss the mark for me. They are not compatible with the other pass thru sets out there (Grearwrench, Crescent, etc.), especially if you desire metric sockets.

what about the bits with the (sleeves) that hold the bits, the phillips , 5/16, 3/8 ect... just use the bit that i have missing in my original 11 in 1 nut driver
@ryd1374 ай бұрын
would the 11 in 1 impact ratchet shaft fit in the standard 11 in 1 impact driver? i have the original impact 11 in 1 but its missing some bits so i was thinking of buying the ratcheting 11 in 1 and using the handle just for the the socket set and using the ratcheting impacts 11 in 1 ahaft to put in my original 11 in 1 .. thanks much
@JonathanLD3124 ай бұрын
The bits and nut drivers will work but the center piece is different. It will fit in but the retention mechanism is a different design so it won't hold in the handle.
@Auto-Bots.Custom.Detailing4 ай бұрын
I’m really not a fan of the “handle storage” for bits, much rather have a beefy handle. The whole sliding bit storage aspect seems like it might last a year at most…. You’re compromising your leverage to hold some bits… get an impact rated bit rail, which also magnifies your drivers…

After watching several reviews of these Knect kits, I purchased the smaller set from Lowe's. The 12 point insert on the ratcheting handle was loose and would not stay secure in the handle, so I returned it and the new set is fine. I like how it integrates with the 11-in-1 ratcheting screwdriver. The selection of bits is great. I wish they would make a version with metric sockets and hex head bits, though. From a pure screwdriver perspective, I still like my Chapman Master Set.

These look like a very similar design to the old GearRatchet tools from about 20 years ago, with some nice improvements. I’ve missed them ever since they stopped making them, they made one of the most complete and useful tools sets I’ve ever seen, and used sets are getting harder to find. This is not exactly a brand new concept, but I am very glad another company has picked up the design again and is carrying it forward.

Man SAE is so hard when you’re used to metric. I can’t visualise 9/32 lol. I can barely visualise 1/32, let alone guess how big 9/32 would be. I can remember close to what size it is by memory, but 7/64 would make zero sense to me if I’d never seen that bit before.
