Well, "gelato" is just a word for "ice cream" in Italian, and this one, although in Slovenia, was indeed the Italian-style gelato. Driving is on the right side in all these countries here, yeah. It's only in UK where they drive on the left side, and I can assure that you actually get used to it pretty quickly when first trying it 😉

Well, the rain was also kind of fun, we ran back from the restaurant to the hotel, which was only a couple of hundreds of meters, and we got quite soaked in the process 😀

I like that little Fiat car, just the right size for narrow roads and small parking spots. Not sure I'm a big fan of the mummies. Rather spooky and disrespectful (IMO) Was surprised you didn't swim but did expect you to enjoy barefeet om the beautiful trails. A fun filled video, leaves me wanting more.
I'm also not big fan of mummies since I saw such a thing for the first time in my life. But yeah, the Fiat 500 was/is perfect for Italy 🤩

We went at the beginning of April, 2022. It was warm enough already and very enjoyable, not yet too hot 👍

Yeah, Win Hof ran it many years ago, but I think some other guys ran much faster just a couple of years ago. I feel like seeing these things in web, but if there's nothing about it in Wikipedia then maybe their records didn't get accepted by the Guinness, I don't know 🤔🤷

What was the record?
It was the fastest 5K running barefoot on snow/ice.
21:28? I did some digging lol. What kind of time do you think you were capable of at the time with ideal conditions (ie how much did the snow slow you down)? I’ve only been doing the barefoot part for a couple years, but wonder. It’s been a roller coaster year for me, but I ran just faster when it was exactly freezing. Don’t hardly ever get snow here though so I’d have to move to get any real exposure. Side note: I think I saw the half marathon time was 1:44 which I bet we could beat.
@@MrNoName7474 Well, my personal best in 5K overall is under 18 minutes... That day when I ran the record, someone had cleaned the first (inner) lane in that stadium, from snow, so I had to run in the second lane which gave me, of course, a bit more than 5000 meters (I still had to run 12 and a half laps). Besides, there were ice under the snow at some places, so yeah, lots of trouble 😀 But is was still fun 😎
@@OreMan Very impressive times if I do say so myself. Based on the 19 world champs video, looks like you’ve run very similar times to me in the 1500m-8km when I was at my peak, but running barefoot has certainly been taking it’s time and those high school days seem so far behind me that it feels irrelevant sometimes stating my prs lol. I have faith I will get back there someday, but no sense in making predictions because I’m no faster today than I was a year ago when I had half the barefoot experience (I assume I transitioned too fast). 5k barefoot pr could be right around the corner or could be another year or two or never for all I know.
@@MrNoName7474 Yeah, those PRs are a tricky thing, we never know when they come 😀 They might be just around the corner, and they might never come again. I'm quite pesimistic about my self actually thinking that my best days are already gone, but, well, as I said - you never know 🤷
