    @jonathanthornton3894 its held up really well actually, people have said its one part on the bike i should eventually upgrade but ive had no issues yet. I recently made a video on my 2 year ownership review on the bike where i point out all the issues ive had with it, if youre interested in more info! @@UsernameNic_ thanks! Have you found an airfork that is compatible with a rockhopper? I read that options are limited due to the straight steer.

    @jonathanthornton3894 i havent done enough research on that yet, mine has been holding up well, and i havent gotten to ride as often as i would like to lately, so ill probably wait until i outgrow my current setup or my fork starts having issues. Someone on my other video commented and recommended some kind of fox forks but i havent looked into them yet

    Accurate vlog! I've been to Skye last week, prices are on the same level as Edinburgh and for most of the main attractions on the island you have to pay ~$10 for parking your car. But it was worth and I recommend visiting Skye for everybody!

    Do the brakes squeal or do they howl? A little bit of squealing even with light braking is normal. For the fork, there are entry-level air forks that would be a massive upgrade (ex. Rockshox Recon with straight steer tube and QR dropouts).

    Kuna Cave isn't necessarily creepy. Kids have been partying, smoking weed and drinking there for generations. What a great spot for it if you're a teen. If you went behind the stairs, there's a spelunking part of it that apparently goes for miles. I'm way too big to fit the tight quarters deeper in there but we did get pretty far on our bellies. It's a very cool cave for what it is. Kid's screwed up the natural beauty of it but what do you expect from kids living in a place like Kuna.

    It wasnt terrifying but it was definitely creepy walking through it for the first time while being alone lol. Super cool even though its been covered in graffitti now like you said. Id love to go back and go a bit deeper but id wanna make sure to have people with me for that. I also would be a bit too nervous to do the super tight crawls, im a bit claustrophobic unless i can see an open space on the other side and know ill be able to get out. Maybe ill grab some friends and make a follow up video soon, ive really been wanting to go back to that cave lately too 👀

    @@UsernameNic_ Buddy and I will be going back in a week or so a bit more prepared than we were last time we went (knee pads, elbow pads). I had a gash on my hand and elbow from a prior accident that made it all the more difficult to crawl deep in there. Course its since healed. I sorta screwed up by bringing a large backpack in there packed with food, water, ropes and other gear not knowing what we were getting into. We'll be more prepared next time. Join us if you'd like. We're both in our late 20's living in Boise.

  • @ehbird858

    Also, even though that area is pretty popular, don't go out there alone. It's not safe for a number of reasons. If you absolutely must go by yourself, send your location to a friend with a time deadline to respond to them letting them know you're good. I had a friend who went caving alone, heard a loud noise and stood up too quick knocking him out cold against the ceiling of the cave. Fortunately he regained consciousness and got out but still. It's damn cold down in caves sometimes and getting KO'd and freezing to death probably isn't a great way to go.

  • @UsernameNic_
    @UsernameNic_5 ай бұрын

    I highly recommend bringing thin clothing for hot weather, its very hot and humid in these parts of the world. My thin white long sleeve shirt was what i wore the most to protect me from the sun. One of my roommates there didnt wear a shirt for a day and got terrible blisters from the sun so plenty of protection is an absolute necessity 👍🏻 just bring whatever youre able to fit in a carry on and youll be perfectly fine! (Also bring plenty of bug spray, arguably even more important than the clothing lol) Have a great time on your trip and thanks so much for watching!

    I definitely recommend it, ive had a great time on this bike and its held up really well. If you're looking for a hardtail specifically, i believe this is the best option in its price range (based on my own experience and opinion). Only issues I've had so far with the bike are a few gear slips while shifting, and the stock grips werent very comfortable. Both easy fixes/upgrades though 👍🏻
