Omg 😂😂😂
ok thats a legit argument
I think your only error was saying palpatine wanted nothing to do with the dark side. Sidious was all about alchemic and mystical of the dark side but only to further his ambition to live forever and rule forever. Which in it of itself is slightly against sith practice only because he hoarded that power and did not set it up or teach vader to further his abilities and ambition so that he could eventually overthrow the emperor. Now my headcanon is that the chosen could do anything thru the force but he simply had to believe it and will it into existence. He hated himself and choices so much that he crippled himself and did not believe he could beat Sidious at all hence why every time he did try he lost. Only believing it when he needed to to save his son, but more importantly someone who saw the good in him, a new hope. It ultimately was a selfish reason.
Legitimately reminds me of the original philosophy of Knights Templars, who were supposed to fight without passion or anger, go into battle in silence, and only fight for the cause of malecide: the destruction of evil. Ideals, but not ones that most can successfully live up to
@studentoftheblade6201 that is a great and very thought-provoking comparison!
I don’t like the show but I like this theory
I will Thumbs Up cause you are a very rare KZreadr to like The Acolyte. I also Like The Acolyte so its nice to see a video of folks not whining about lore breaking. Using the OG-3 as the definition of all lore. The OG-3, while great films, was not the definition/lore of The Force or every galaxy. ------ As for your theory...u could be correct...but I think we saw Plagueis's first discovery of Qimir and Osha. I think he was there, with or for, his Master for that metal/mineral they want. I think when he discovered Quimir/Osha he decided to overthrow his Master to take on his own apprentice. I hope Season 2 will show Plagueis overthrow his Master, Tenabris or something, and try to take on Quimir as his apprentice and use Osha and Mae to learn about dyads.
@SnowBunny_Elle great theory! Also thank you so much!!
@@dxundownload8635 Seems you were correct. Just read an article on ScreenRant "The Acolyte's Darth Plagueis Cameo Fully Explained By Showrunner". He is Qimir's Master...so it may be that Plagueis is catching Quimir breaking the Rule of Two
W game and w creator
good video
First off space the haters this is a good show but i dont think he and qmir know each other i think qmir is a powerful dark jedi and probably the first knight of ren but i dont think plagueis was watching qmir he was watching osha his true target
@austindeivert1198 ya Ohsa It's definitely his intended target.Although with Mae having her mind wiped, it might honestly end up being her that he experiments on to get at osha
Bro. Go touch some grass.
Worst series of all time
Okay genuinely want to know your opinion not just trying to talk shit I've watched the first four episodes and find it extremely hard to get through I love Star Wars but this just feels so poorly written
@dananab140 I love it. It's a mystery, so don't think you need everything answered cause it wiki eventually. Are there some clunky moments sure. But it's a great series with amazing moments and acting. Not to mention how, by the end, we are truly reminded that this is a dark side story showing more and more how the jedi has fallen. It's OK to not like every second, but it is really good and now you can just watch the whole thing!
You are 100%
I have been searching so hard for content on the acolyte that isn't just nerd sexism. It's wild as fuck that with all the star wars youtubers, I've only seen you and generation tech not making videos actually engaging with the material and instead of just saying thing bad As for his origin and the mystery behind this sith, I think we can look to the shows title to figure out who he is. The show is called acolyte, and he refers to Mae as that specifically. And then uses the term agian when talking to Osha. Why didn't he use the term apprentice? Well my theory is that he is the sith apprentice, trying to recruit a Ventress. Or how darth vader has his inquistors under Palpatine. but then we ask, whoses the master, and there are only 2 anwsers. Tenebrous and Plaguies. Maybe Tenebrous master. the timeline isn't super clear.
@gonfftheprince my newest head theory is that his master WAS the consciousness that was split into too. Maybe if Osha and Mae become one agian, Qimir will bow as his master has returned. Or it was his master trying to make a dyad and Qimir was sent to test them for essence transfer later. I'm excited to see what happens Tuesday
@@dxundownload8635 well its interesting i think the show is headed towards an echo of the final battle in revenge of the sith. Osha will fall to the darkside and Mae will rise to the light side. They already paraphrased the worst line from the fight, and i really do feel like the characterization is going in a way to set up Osha: I HATE YOU Mae: your my sister Osha, i loved you.
yeah if youre going to make a video talking about why you think someone new is the best sith ever, probably a good idea to make sure you actually understand the sith first. theyre not seeking "freedom" just because being free is referrenced in their code, doesnt make it their goal. the sith are seeking the destruction of the jedi and the domination of the galaxy. to that end you can make an argument for almost any sith lord being better than this poor imitation because all of them have contributed more towards the ultimate goal of the sith. he is absolutely not "the perfect rule of two sith" because the whole point of the rule of two was to stop the sith murdering each other until there were none left to dominate the galaxy. not to hide and teach each other about freedom.
That's what the jedi tell you
If you think all they want is destruction you have the mind of a ten year old.
@@dxundownload8635 i would suggest you re read what i wrote.
@xarion69 we don't know what the stranger has or has not contributed to. He could have been the catalyst to teach sith of the dyad . To remain hidden and train in the high repuvlic when the jedi are at their BEST and most POWERFUL, and he beat them all either physically or mentally. The Sith wants to be FREE from the chains of the force and the galaxy. But also from life itself. They do not care or just conquer and destroy the jedi they want to become God's. I've studied the sith. I've played the games, read books, comics, all of it.
@xarion69 also the rule of 2 is just a splinter group and look where it lead. To Sidoius becoming the "eternal" sith and dying leaving none left. The rule of 2 is ridiculous. Hopefully more sith will come after the Republic took all of Sidoius' horde of dark side texts and artifacts from Exegol.
you sir are a true fan. this video was so good that i jusr subscribed. its refreshing to hear a different/ postive take. and i would have to agree in LIVE ACTION this is one of the best sith we got!!
Thank you so much! It means the world to me that we can all shar eour love for Star Wars. But Qimir aint got nothing on Naga Sadow, Marka Ragnos, or Tenebrae lol
I concur 111%. Loved Ep 5's lightsaber duel coordinator. They gave us some amazing and appropriate in length action. My main criticism of SW is that I've wanted more lightsaber duels or the ones we were given to be slightly longer. I'm totally good with the new cannon and don't engage with those types who are in the various factions or camps. Or delve into the comments as often as I use to. It's a waste of time. I cut myself off from the fandom and friends even (I still check in) within certain discord chats. Star Wars Meg is a dear friend but I don't watch her reviews until after the season now and avoid spoilers at all costs. Helps to enjoy Star Wars even moreso, as I am surprised like a kid on Christmas with each episode going on totally blind. Overall, I actually like Acolyte. Some things I would change here and there. Like the real world music to end last weeks episode was indeed a poor decision imo. Certain fandoms live to pounce nowadays. If you ignore the hate, go in as blind as can be, and enjoy the episode for what it is. You'll enjoy it more and and live longer. Im old enough to recall the time in between Return Of The Jedi and The Phantom Menace where all we had was the books and Dark Horse comics to get us by. Many had to even..... Watch Star Trek! I was one but definitely recall those dark times as being traumatic to me and the collective fandom, no doubt. I was upset Lucas didn't keep going. But now, we are flush with new content! Which imo most of what Disney has put out with the exception of the ST isn't at all half bad. Especially TCW and spinoffs. Grandmaster Filoni gets far more right, than he gets wrong.
@shankshoanatlprez4453 we have to do what we must for our own happiness and mental stability 100%. Amazing comment! It is truly a great set of perspectives!
Amazing video! And an awesome take on the stranger! Can't wait to see what happens in the final episode and then your take on it!
Also, The Stranger is definitely the best sith now in live action
@@DraphenMaille thank you!
I completely agree with you. In fact, a lot of what Disney has done to the fandom of my childhood and youth hurts me. So I'm all the more pleased that someone with as much enthusiasm as you produces videos like this. Makes me nostalgic.
@aykelimberg3200 truly means alot! Thank you very much
Every time I think I see the dumbest Star Wars video ever, something like this presents itself.
This series has been trash except epsiode 5 and 6. This episode was a dumpster fire
Great Legendary pull on the Krayt Dragon!
@@JakeKristof many thanks! I'm hoping to snag a box of booster so I can get some more. Definitely need a Poe!
As a huge Darth Maul fan i could not agree more!! Great video ❤️🖤
In legends many sith live on as force ghosts marka ragnos, naga sadow, freedon nadd, exar kun among others their spirits endured for centuries even millennia often corupting jedi into forming a neo sith order meaning sith in doctrine but separate from the sith empire on korriban or dromund kass
Savage is the older brother maul is the middle child and savage killed their youngest brother ferral
Palpatine is the perfect Sith Lord.
Vader will always be my favorite david prowse
I think it's more Sidious was one of the only real sith and truly believed in and fully embrace the dark side. He actually did break his chains or perhaps never had them. The Sith idealize the dark side because it's powerful and they believe power will set them free, Sidious is what mastery of the dark actually look like and what breaking all your chains actually results in there's no honor or humanity in it just an ugly monster
Palpatine was indeed very selfish not teaching the way of the sith to let the rule of two live, but then again that's very dark side of him. Wanting all the power and being afraid of losing it, so to not lose it he doesn't teach his apprentices enough to usurp him
In Legends, Palpatene was already preparing for the inevitable Yuzann Vong invasion. It was the reason he built 3 Death Stars to act as battle stations. So he was busy planning for the future beyond becoming emperor.
You're half right, he was the last true follower of the Sith way, but of course that way was in and of itself entirely perverted and Evil, not "right". The Sith don't "balance" the force in tandem with the Jedi, they are a blight upon it. Balance is when the Sith go extinct.
While I agree on some points, I have to point out that Sidious did try to strengthen his empire, and secure more power for himself, not just sat there doing nothing. More so in Legends, though, but even in Canon he's been looking for a way to utilize my most hated concept in Disney SW, the world between worlds or whatever(honestly, the universe would be better off without this thing or Mortis gods Filoni pulled out his netherworld of the Force) I think Sidious and Maul were both the embodiments of different ways of the Sith. Sidious was both a strong Force user and great lightsaber duelist, though he leaned towards using the Force for his schemes, while Maul utilized raw power and strategy, but leaned towards the strengh and domination through force. Maul, much like Vader, was a warrior. Sidious was a webweaver. All three were Sith
Sith ghosts exist, but they are more like ghosts from real life. Tied to an object or place.
also helps alot that sam witwer was mauls voice actor, he brought soo much to the character
Maul would thrive in the malgus/bane era since their siths ran into battle headfirst rather than hide and rule thru governments. He lacked a secret identity like his master and plagueis who were disguised as Hego Damask and Palpatine
In the expanded universe true star wars not Disney dark side force ghosts do exist they attached their spirits to objects or places.
@erikdeusenberry5307 Wrong. In CANON Star Wars, force ghost can also attach themselves to places or things. Bane is at his tomb in clone wars, and Viceroy Panshard is attached to his mask like Darth Momon in the Shadow of the Sith book
Read Darth Plagueis by James Luceno Plagueis was the last Dark Lord also the Sith was more than a title it was a whole race until it was purged Maul was a warrior in his expanded universe books so his training was combat focused because Plagueis ordered Sidious not to train him in the force as a dark lord because the rule of two was over and yes this does mean Sidious is trained wrong as well but that's Plagueis fault he wanted a equal a partner Sidious killed him after Plagueis had nothing more to teach and any rival Sidious would have had in the force Plagueis already killed so all powerful but no restrictions that's Sidious sadly.
i have read Plagueis and i know about the sith species. I talk about Naga Sadow and many more in other videos
I agree with whay your saying, but Sidious and Plagueis were near perfect Villians. Sidious specifically.
@williamgarrison1707 I will agree always that they are top tier villians. Just not sith lords.
@@dxundownload8635 That's fair
Bro, solid f****** argument! Respect man. You’re 1000% right - Maul and his insane warrior ethos and conqueror mentality was a much truer Sith at the core. Like he an Malgus would have been boys 🤘. Great video boss!
@@WoodsP51 many thanks my friend

@@MarsUltor1990 thank you so much!
When i saw maul in clone wars i was shocked it was great experience but the show is ruined by ashoka and anakin stupidity i also liked his brother savage, two brothers killing jedi
Palpatine just sat on a chair.
Nice you try the restored content mod that adds an impossible difficulty it's supposed to be twice as hard as the hardest difficulty
Sounds fun but not really my cup of spotchka lol. I big on enjoying a game and story over feeling like I beat it at its hardest. I feel you would want to do a full darkside run though to make it easier lol
@@dxundownload8635 I've done both you do kinda want to min max your guy though. It is pretty challenging but the min maxing can be a bit anoying I guess in that if you want to go strength you do need darkside for the better strength gear and lightside for the better wisdom gear
@@dxundownload8635 you could do a force based lightsider it wouldn't be to bad in either case you would need to rely on buying the top teir gear as well as trying to really max out your characters
@@dxundownload8635 I do actually like the story alot unfortunately I've played knights so much that I need more at this point lol
This is a very interesting mindset i also think sidous is very overrated. I actually prefer plaguise although i could see why one would think him not a true sith since he did want to share power equally with his apprentice.
You know, your completely right
Rule of 2 don't mean crap, more red sabers for more disney fun.
SO TRUE!! Back to the battles of the OIld Republic!
Maul was the true sith lord.
Sidious was too evil to be a Sith, too greedy, and didn't correctly train his apprentices
Kitty 🐈
Remember how in Lucas' original vision for the sequels was to have Maul as the big bad? Let that sink in for a minute
