  The Gowan album Strange Animal is one I bought in a sale in late 1984, and it made an immediate impression. As I was already into Styx, it was good to know who LG was when he joined them. Have seen them twice in England since, which was great! He sounds a good chap.

  The Styx show in Halifax was stellar. Gowan was incredible as always. I certainly miss seeing him in his solo shows and didn't catch him in 2023 at Alderney Landing because it was an outdoor venue and I now have health issues that wouldn't have made it easy but caught him a couple years back in NB. Hopefully he brings his solo show back to Halifax if and when he has time from the mighty Styx touring machine. All the best - Ominous Spiritus!

  I was fortunate to see the band on the Kilroy tour, which no one knew was going to be the last with that lineup. I’ve always loved Larry’s music, so I’ve really enjoyed hearing him with the group over the years. I know a lot of fans will never accept anyone other than Dennis in that role, but at this point it’s pretty obvious that a reunion with him is not going to happen.

  Dan Toler, as evidenced here, was a sweetheart of a human being. A gentleman. Duane Allman wanted Dickey Betts to play guitar with him. Dickey choose Dan Toler. He was that fine a player. Thanks for this friend!
