What he got is that how Phil or other gangsters viewing him does not matter. He lives his life his own way regardless of whether his reputation plumeted in Phil's view or not. That's why he openly cried, he is no longer fear of Phil's judgement.
I finally streamed the movie, and I thought it captured the essence of the Wild West of young Hollywood. It should have been split into two movies or, as suggested on this video, as a limited series because it was too intense to watch it in one sitting.
I just noticed how ill-fitting Kevin Finnerty's clothes are. Unlike Tony, Kevin buys off the rack.
The supernatural way works is amazing. You can't just have a drama about mafia if characters are sentient molecules. Humans are more than just animals, they can be both holy and evil.
Little Carmine has always been one of my favorite characters. I think he was always pulling the strings and played like he didn’t want to be involved.
With the way Paulie earned, it's not the like the church was going to miss that $2.23 cent donation anyway.
Dude… his rug was peed on. Not stolen. The rug he stole was then stolen from him. His original rug was soiled not stolen.
My two favourite movies are goodfellas and the Irishman. I loved the Irishman on my first watch. I also believe that time made this movie what it is. This movie coming out when it did brings a layered connection to the characters and the investment is there to see an old face. Im glad I’m not alone in my appreciation for this movie.
Excellent video
Tony Supernatural: Remember, the guy would have panic attacks, pass out, faint and he'd get dizzy and get on medication...the dreams were really more open after this in Tony Soprano's character -- he would tell the psychiatrist about his dreams, get into his nervous energy through his mother and how she'd gnaw at his mind and discredit him which was akin to his friends discrediting him in business and all the crap he had to deal with -- same difference.... So Tony Soprano dealing with the supernatural, he was always there, which is why he was both perceptive and logical being able to see through the cracks, even when he didn't get shot. Paulie: Paulie was funny and I wish they would have went into the supernatural more with Paulie, this guy was really freaked out by the signs and situations that followed his life -- he had this blind innocence concerning his life in what really happened vs. what he did for a living, always knowing good things would happen for him in the afterlife.
Nobody knows mythology like the atheists, hence the atheist stance.
Man your analysis are good. Could you do one on Fredo. There’s a theory that he’s not as dumb like most people say
Scared and propane
Great video and great point of view
Michael Imperioli (Christophuh) wrote the medium episode.
A youtuba don't wear shorts
Smart brits would get on a boat and leave. It's an island...leave.
Priest: what are your sins my son? Paulie: now don't get cvnty!
Stay off the AI.
A ton of Magical Realism in this show.
Not even close bud, this is pussy shit 😂
an incredible movie, one of those that will always be in my collection ...
Satanic black magic sick sh!t
Finally someone connected the 48 Laws with the Sopranos! And made a video about it! Carmine was also all about Law number doesn't matter , "Play a Fool to Catch a Fool"
This video is at the precipice, of an enormous crossroads.
The Las Vegas Trip, Whatever Happened There
Top episode, thank you. If I may add: on the following episode, while trying to explain to the guys the experience, he opens with "the Sun came up". This should the son that became the father.
Interesting how all fascists are the same. Murderous thugs who use brute force and fear to shut others up who know the truth. Who know the fascists are here and the corruption they make.
The "rotten soprano genes" he feared he passed to his son could have been alluding to his dad and not just Livia
Get a life
Why is he possibly insane?
I killed my inner Magnus Hirschfeld already.
bob burger
One of my favorite Sopranos analyses, of so many on YT
“The rape of Nanking” is wayyy more scary also ww2
Not the scariest
When the world became crazy and doesn't make any sense the Dudeism appear.
the virgin mary in the bing wasnt the same episode as Paulie reconciling with his mother
Whoa what a great analysis. Made me watch aspects of the show in a whole different way and I’ve already rewatched and analyzed it myself.
Word on the street was Yogi Berra was a distant relative.🍿
I just smashed the show out this week and I picked up so much of Paulis hand gestures lol
pasolini what a great guy he liked the anarchists like malatesta for their agrarian roots, he saw culture as part of a people's land and separate from nationalism and he was pioneer about something that many in philosophy realize now but don't talk about that is that capitalism leads to a far worse scenario than facism and that the ones leading our Italy into capitalism were the same names or last names that were in the junta of Mussolini, pasolini as many despised facism none the less and fear it it just changed clothes into capital which was kinda true and caused the years of lead to happen, a cheer to pasolini 🍷 the world doesn't deserve the beautiful artists that love it
Psychedelics are a diagnostic…Prescriptions written in disappearing ink.🍭
Gen AI thumbnail is ugly as balls. So lazy, soulless, and uninspired. 👎
Play a fool to catch the fools….. whatever happened there
To play devil's advocate: It is also possible to analyze the show differently. Logan Roy is an absentee father who was a workaholic and never present for his children. This was aggravated by them being children of divorce. Logan was an old school parent (like many of us from the Gen X generation experienced) who did not coddle or nurture his children. But, Logan was not extremely or uniquely abusive and is not solely responsible for the people that they have grown up to be. The entire show is a story of a very ruthless and insensitive father pitting his adult kids against one another to figure out which of them is capable of taking over the family empire. He pits them against each other as competitors for a huge job that not a single one of them is qualified for or capable of performing. The entire show is an indictment of extreme wealth, oligarchy, and privilege. None of the kids live up to the challenge and ultimately Roman admits that "they are bullshit" and gives up.
Last year someone laced my weed with LSD and I was walking around my neighborhood tripping for 10 days, if your a spiritual person it's the most scariest experience you can ever imagine
This was unusually relaxing to watch in a stressful time during my life. Thank you so much. I've not even watched the Sopranos before.
I did ten fuckin grams
I wanted to trip balls on lsd and magic mushrooms, I compromised, and smoked a blunt off a radiator
Damn a lot of insight I never even perceived. This video has the makings of a varsity athlete
