Im a tax preparer, am i able to help different elderly file taxes on the my same cashapp, or does it only accept 1 tax per app???
You’ll need to create one account per person that you’re helping. The account is tied to personal information for each person and filing.
I tried to do the tax online but it says it’s ineligible for refund transfer.I don’t know where to find it
Can you email me a picture of what the screen looks like? Or if you can paste exactly what the screen says, I’ll see if I can help understand what the issue is. Email: [email protected]
So glad I totally understand more Money less taxes one word real-estate

to file a taxes for chef business. like if someone has its own kitchen . he will follow the same steps.?
If you have a legitimate business that’s registered and kept separate from your personal finances, you can file through their business tax option. Similar, but more about your business and less about personal data and information.
Thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Where do you put your direct deposit information at
It will be at the end when you’re ready to pay/set up your refund method (if you’re getting a refund).

What if i fail to file an extension also?? But i dont owe any tax also
I would file an extension and then your taxes anyways, even if you are beyond the deadlines.
I usually use Turbotax to file my taxes... for the last 20 years! But what I find tedious and usually deters me from doing my taxes is the process of exporting all my bank/CC activity for the year from Wells Fargo, Paypal, Amex etc etc via excel... and then sorting all those expenses and income into the various catgories.. then inputting that data into Turbo Tax... is there an easier way - or an app that can do all that? Thanks! or can i hire you? lol

Hey! I don't know which one to buy? basic, standard, deluxe, premier ?
Are you doing it online?
@@everydaywithbecca No I went to staples to go and buy it for the first time. They had different ones as I pointed out and I didn't know which one to chose. I think I should go with the deluxe one, because I am not running a business or stocks or anything like that ? which one would you suggest? or do you suggest buying it online?
@@Bytekin101 you can purchase it at the store; it’ll work similarly-some people just prefer the security of a desktop software. This article helps explain the products and who should buy what: www.cnet.com/personal-finance/taxes/turbotax-review/#what-products-does-turbotax-offer
Hi, I am going to file our taxes for the first time. Me and my wife came to Canada last year august. Can we use this video for my situation? CRA don't have my details yet, so is it possible to file tax in this way?
I’ve never filed in Canada, but you’re able to use H&R Block to file-it may just require you to use different info. I would use my video as a base, but remember that Canadian tax laws and deductions may be different due to the swap in country. More info for your Canadian filing: www.hrblock.ca/blog/new-to-canada-heres-what-you-need-to-know-about-filing-your-income-taxes
I want to do Tax training like you, where do i start?
I just started on KZread here with my own experience. Different vendors offer different training. You can start with H&R Block if you’d like-I’ve heard that their training is decent.
cannot enter into the medical expense
What service are you trying to use to file your taxes?
Do they accept photos of your tax papers? Will they do all my taxes if I send them the photos?
You would have to upload clear photo files to their server and pay for the extra help if you don’t want to do it yourself. Depending on your filing, the fee will vary for not only preparation of your filing, but transmission of it as well.
I tried but it didn’t let me get an extension. Can I get it now through IRS?
Where or what site didn’t let you? You should be able to use the irs payment site I mentioned to get one.
how i file a extention because i am late not because i owe them money , just because i waited till the last minute to file my taxes
You would use the same methods. If you choose to do the online payment option, You would only pay your estimated taxes. If you are not estimated to owe any taxes, then just pay a dollar plus the online payment fee. Asked for your estimated tax liability, put down zero.
Thank you sooooo much. Being going to hr block for years and just did it by myself for the first time.. i feel sooo empowered, silly to say but yeaj thank you again sooooo much. If u have instagram let me knw so i can share tour content. Im so happy right now😅
Who else it watching an hour before the deadline 😂😭😭😭. I use TurboTax but literally never noticed the option to file an extension with it so thank you so much OP 😅😅.
Your video saved me. I had less than 1 hour to request. Since the program was having problems. Thanks
So glad to hear it! Good luck! Email me if you have more questions!
Turbotax wants to charge me 133 dollars on a 259 dollar return? That is crazy they advertise the site the way they do. This video was great tho you were awesome!
Let’s say I added something like 1000$ in liabilities but it ends up being that the IRS owes me money sorry I’m new to this
Whatever you add, make sure that it’s true and you have proof of it. If the IRS owes you, then put $0 as the estimated tax liability.
@@everydaywithbecca 1st year of work.. with the calculator I did some calculation it seems like the IRS owes me something like 1200 but I added 700 to liabilities I Fd Up I guess :(

If we file extention using ctedit card bia irs.gov. .... does it cover both spouses if we are joint filers?
Yes. If you plan to file together, it will cover your joint return.
I will pay the fn taxes late, they don't let people live in peace...
Depending on how much you owe in taxes , it may not end up being that much… but, just file the extension and pay your estimated taxes! Better than penalty fees. 😊

You’re welcome! Good luck this season! Email me if you need more help.
I did the Direct Pay option (with bank account). It doesn't ask for an estimate of tax owed though. Is that weird? Why would for example filing Form 4868, paying with credit card via paydirect, etc. require estimation of this amount but if you use Direct Pay you get out of it? Is this what's known as a "loophole"? 😎
I’ve been hearing of this issue quite. b it this year. My best suggestion-pay your estimated taxes anyways and make sure that when you’re doing the direct pay option, you’re paying towards your taxes and filing an extension-not just making a regular payment. We love them loopholes, eh? Ha! I wish I could say it’s a loophole, but something tells me it’s more of an IRS website error that would come back to bite us in the butt if we pretended it was a loophole.
@@everydaywithbecca Thank you. It didn't seem right to me, so I went back and did the credit card option through PayUSA (or whomever): -It gave me the disclaimer you mentioned regarding the automatic extension -It had me estimate the amount of tax owed as you described Those were the two things I needed to see to _not_ wake up tonight in a cold sweat. Thank you again for the video and for taking the time to reply on Tax Day.
@@FierceRabbit11 you’re welcome! I feel ya about the cold sweat. Glad it worked out. Good luck this season! Here to help as able!
Great video. could you please help me out. I notice that if I try to pay dierct pay option, where it says. Tax Year for Verification * it only gives me the option for the year 2022 and not 2023, but if I go under my account / make a payment /bank account, I don't need to fill out any forms with my personal information. could you please tell me why? I'm trying to do this myself for the first time. i don't want to mess it up!
Confirming-you have an IRS account? If you’re in your account and exploring this option, does it let you make a payment for an extension? Or just a regular payment?
@@everydaywithbecca yes, I am able to make a payment. The only thing that I am concerned about is that I don't have any options to fill out any forms with my personal information. Let's say name, ss etc. Do you think it's because they already have all my information on file?

Hi thanks a lot for showing us how to file one's own taxes. I did my own this year. I have a question. How to modify or add 1098 info after I already filed? My younger sister took professional help this year but did not add 1098 info. I don't know whether the professional used TurboTax for filing. I would appreciate any guidance. and also does it need to be done before the due date?
In order to add a 1098 to a filing that has already been submitted, you would have to file an amendment. The easiest way would be to find out what program she did use, and if it is a program program, she can access like H&R Block or TurboTax, then to submit an amendment through that software. Another option would be asking that professional that helped her do her taxes to submit an amendment on her behalf. Worst case scenario, you would have to either manually fill out the amended tax return form (1040-x), or re-create her tax filing through one of those software, selecting “mail in” when it comes to the transmit screen, and then creating an amendment from that filing created on the software. This last option would require you to select “mail in” because you really really only want to create the filing in the system that does not have that filing yet. Because she has already submitted it to the IRS, you would not want to electronically submit the same return. Once the return is created in the software, you can use that duplicate “fake” filing document to create an amended return.
Hi, I have used free turbo tax in Canada for a number of years. This year I have a couple of medical expenses and several transit monthly passes to claim and it wants me to upgrade to input that info. I do not know how...my mom gave me a key code for Standard version.
TurboTax is starting to charge more and more for upgrades- they require upgrades when you have slightly out of the ordinary exceptions. I’m guessing because these are extra things that you want to claim (which put more money in your pocket), then they are requiring you to upgrade. I’m guessing that you are using the online version? If TurboTax is requiring you to upgrade, and you would like to use a free option, I suggest trying some of these other free options: www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/digital-services-individuals/netfile-overview/certified-software-netfile-program.html If you scroll down a little bit, they show free options for you to use. They may not be like TurboTax, but at least they will be more cost-effective for you. Hope that this helps!
Will I be charged late fees for filing even though I did an extension ?
You will not be charged late fees or penalties as long as you pay your estimated taxes due. Use the TurboTax tax calculator to estimate your taxes due for the 2023 season, and pay this amount online by end of day today. If you use the online file extension and payment method, then you can not only file your extension, but pay your estimated taxes due. This will cover you, and allow you until October to file the paperwork.
I have two jobs do I need to put both information at the same time or do each job separately?
You need to list each W2 or 1099 that you received for your job separately.
Thank you so much for this video was literally stuck for hours! Being 19 in a few days and not knowing how to do taxes or having help made this a whole lot harder.
So glad that it helped you! Good luck this season. Email me if you have more questions.
If it's only me no children or no dependents other than myself....... Aren't I supposed to put a 1 for a zero???? And why

Thank u. I think I'm too late but I guess I do it as soon as I can .
@@troya3094 I’d agree. File it and see if they accept it even though it’s late.
Is this free? For simple taxes?
Yes. It’s similar to TurboTax in its offerings-free only for the simplest returns. If you have things like stocks, or want the program to search for other deductions, then you’ll need to upgrade to a paid version.
Thank you for the video! If I make a payment the way you did to automatically extend 6 months. Does that cover state and federal or do I still need to handle the state extension? (Cali)
That only covers federal. You’ll need to do a separate one for Cali. Looks like they have a similar system: www.ftb.ca.gov/file/when-to-file/extension-to-file.html
How do file an extension if it's my first time filing tax so I can't verify my identity using my prior year history?
Which method are you trying to use? TurboTax? IRS payment system? Using the payment system, you shouldn’t have to verify anything aside from your SSI.
@@everydaywithbecca Oh I see now haha, thank youu!
@@everydaywithbecca Another question, If i filed an extension through TurboTax, Do I choose File extension or just Tax return when paying on IRS site?
@@bilguun7984 if you already filed an extension through TurboTax and are just using the irs site to pay any other taxes due, then just select “tax return”. You don’t need to ask/file for another extension.

Yes. I’d put down “0” as your tax liability since you’re expecting a refund.
What is the address or Po box to mail the form in?

Three-part question: 1) First time filing an extension for an (retired) elderly parent myself. Think i can locate the amount of last year's tax liability (from last year's tax documents) but wondering if there is a penalty for underestimating. 2) In the case that this elderly parent is actually due a refund but just wants extra time to gather documents to submit their taxes would this form apply & they just direct pay (thru the irs.gov site) the $3 or whatever to "buy" the extra time to file? *We do plan to locate a licensed tax preparer eventually so would obviously share info/proof that an extension was filed, correct? 3) Lastly, would I (if still actively working) qualify for an automatic extension if am due a refund & follow the nominal fee payment (& bypass filling in any "estimated tax due" figure)? Can you tell I'm extremely clueless? Thank you in advance for any advice😊
1. in most cases, everyone is only paying an estimated amount. As long as a full amount is eventually paid, I don’t think this is a big deal unless you are completely way under the tax liability. Any taxes that go unpaid are subject to a penalty fee per month that it goes unpaid. If the end goal is to pay the full amount in a timely manner, I wouldn’t worry about underestimating. 2. If that person is odor refund, then I think that the “buying” option is a good one. Cost-effective and quick and easy. 3. Even if you are do a refund, you can file for an extension through the same way-“buying” it online. For estimated taxes, I would just put down zero, as you are not expecting to owe anything, and rather, you will be getting a refund
Good luck! I hope it all goes well. Reach out if you need more help!
Last year we paid $1500. Not sure if it will be the same this year. What happens if we file an IRS extension and only pay $1.00 to do so?
You are expected to pay your estimated taxes. I would use TurboTax tax estimator to see how much you potentially owe and pay that amount towards your extension. In terms of fees, you may be subject to pay penalty fees on the amount of taxes you owe. This is a percentage of your total taxes owed for every month that it goes unpaid. It’s the best move to pay estimated taxes for your extension, if you plan to file your taxes within this next month after filing your extension, then you may be OK. the other option is to pay at one dollar, and then file your taxes, and then apply for a payment plan through the IRS.
thank you some much becca! this is my first time doing my own taxes and this video made it helpful, fast, and easy! 👏🏻
